I was at that game. It was awesome. We won and ate Bevo Burgers that night. Then we went out for the next game and promptly lost to IUPUI.

The cougars should win this one. They are a better team than Kentucky right now and are playing at home. Unfortunately it won't be the quality win they thought it might be going into the season. It's almost a must win for their at-large hopes at this point.

UH really screwed the pooch with their schedule. Penders got it backwards. After playing tough OOC schedules the last two years and failing to get an at-large bid he had a reversal this year. He failed to realize that the past two team didn't get bid for reasons other than the schedule. Namely losing to Rice UCF in 2006 and having no point guard/and just not a very good team in 2007. If anything it was a testament to their tough OOC SOS that they the RPIs that they did the last two years.

This is the deepest, most talented team they have had in 15+ years. If there was one year they needed to step up and play a tough OOC it was this season. Up to this point they played a sub-300 ranked schedule. With only a few opportunities for quality wins on the schedule, they'll probably have to win 25+ regular season games to get an at-large bid. Though 10-1 would be great start towards that.

I think it will be more wide open due to the injury and with our homecourt advantage....up and down....drawing from the crowd.Kentucky's going to put up points but I see us pullling it out.

Is this a normal UH crowd or is it just because its nationally televised and retiring Michael Young's number?

Dammit, showed TMac and he's still smiling. And wearing a Yankees cap, who does he think he is, Lebron?

I am an Aggie. Wish I was there. To pray at BCG's feet!!! Not bash him. Ya, heckle the guy that put Aggie basketball on the map. Thats real smart... He left TAMU for one for one of greatest programs in sports (pro or amateur) history! So be it.

I'm not angry because he left. The manner in which he did it was chickens***. Tell the AD and media that you are going to sign your extension when you return from vacation, and sign with another school before you get back.

If he keeps going like this, his stay at Kentucky will be very short.

When you are a multi-millionaire and a successful NBA player, why not smile? I would be smiling too if I had as much playoff success as T-MAC.

THE CHANTS IN UK ARE GONNA GREET THEM.... FIRE GILLESPIE and throw a pie in his face on the way out!

That's the problem I had with Gillespie's leaving. I can understand him leaving for Kentucky. It's one of the premiere name programs in college basketball. But to talk to another school, come back and say that you're staying at A&M, agree to an extension, drag out the signing until the UK job comes open, then bail as soon as possible looks bad.

Kentucky needs to stop scheduling C-USA. First UAB, now UH.

don't like this slow down offense. i know they're trying to kill clock but they're better when they play Golden State Warriors basketball.

kinda reminds me of why UH lost to the Wolfpack in that infamous Title game where Lorenzo Charles dunked that airball and Valvano danced around in the end. Guy Lewis decided to slow it down to kill the clock and that's how NCS came back.

IMO, that single game is why Guy Lewis isn't in the Basketball Hall of Fame. What a shame.

Man, if only we had three point shooters on the Rockets. :(

I see Luther Head and Chuck Hayes are in attendance at the game. And, I think someone else said T-Mac is there too? Hopefully this UH team can somehow "inspire" the Rox.
