depends on who the player is
put it this way if i had a choice between
jefferson or any one of those guys i'd choose jefferson.

simply becuz for alot of those guys u mentioned we already have a similar player

bradley?- langhi , collier r nice shooting big guys

haywood? - cato is already an underachieving center

i guess to answer i would trade down to 16th for bradley/maybe haywood

    14 or 15 for bradley
for woods? i don think he'd be available if we traded down.

that is imagining where they likely would go if we passed on them at 13.

woods? well not so much him but cato has similar characteristics... woods might have better talent and upside i guess.

woods dropping to us isnt set in stone.
i'd rather have ken johnson at a later pick..

as for moving DOWN to get one of those guys well that im not quite sure of. if say i wanted to trade the #13 to charlotte i'd wanna at least dump a bad salary aka walt/cato and get a future pick in return.. and i would only trade down if i was getting woods or bradley.. neither player i want that bad btw. for a future first round pick. well i don know.. alot of those teams in the 14-18 range could get better... except toronto if all their free agents leave.

SFs are a common position to draft for. however its my opinion that they dont always fit w/ a team that drafts them. i believe that jefferson is a better investment than those big men. the big man that i want on houston is ken johnson or barring a miracle kwame brown if he slipped to chicago. other than that i dont see a big man that i'd say that'd be a great fit w/ houston.

The only knock on Wallace is his shooting touch.

Everyone loves his athleticism, but it won' take him anywhere unless he develops a consistent "J" and solid defense.

One thing, at the 22nd position in the draft, nobody can pass up a Dominique type player.

Terrence Morris is good and all, but Wallace really does have too much potential to pass up on.

I agree with Cat, who cares about one handed dunks. WHO? Well Greg does!

I want to win games. If somehow we can draft Jefferson and Kent Johnson in the 13th and 18th selections. Then get a hold of Wallace, I say take wallace. Make him your IR guy for the next 2 years.

And we'll see what Langhi can do as a backup to Jefferson for then next 2 years.

My guess is Langi will excell. I saw him shoot in the shoot around and the guy doesn't miss at all. He's that good. I made a bet with my friend of the game if Langi would miss in the next 10 shots I'd fork over 10 dollars. You know what, Langhi was making shots before I said that, and he went well past 10 shots in a row before he missed one lonely shot.

The man can shoot. The man is showtime. And all he needs is a chance to grow. Sure he was a senior but that doesn't matter. There is a reason that he was drafted in the 2nd round. He needs to work on his game.

But Rudy loves his play and potential. Come on he's a 7 foot SF who can shoot and has a sick vertical with a spot of athleticism.

I think all he needs to work on is his mental toughness to become the players he can be.

Man, the more I hear about Joe Johnson the more I salivate at the thought of the Rockets' getting him. I have not seen him, but the things they say he can do sound exactly like the things I'd like our small forward to do. He qualifies as both a point forward to set up Francis and Cat on scoring opportunities and a pure shooter to knock down threes when Francis and Cat make a play. I hope we trade up for him.

    TeXaSalsa,

What don't you like about Woods? I didn't see him much this year, but last year he was very good. Yes, he's skinny, but he's also 7'1 with some skills and athletism. I would like to see if he has the quickness to play PF along with backup center. Its just so tough to see against slower weaker competition.

This is the last year the Rockets will be in the lottery for a while. If they get the chance to get a center, they need to take it. If Woods isn't available, i'm all over getting a SF as there are some good ones that will be there. I haven't seen KJ so its dificult for me to rate him, but Woods is worth the #13, in my opinion.

I see Woods as needing a year of seasoning (10-15 lbs in weight room) before he can show his defensive skills in the NBA.
