The Season Three "24" Discussion Thread (spoilers allowed!)

Did anyone else enjoy Chase getting beat with a shovel just as much as i did?

 

I'm so confused about Nina.

What the hell? How did she get away from Jack last time? Did they leave it unresolved?

And who is Palmer's "mentor." I don't remember him from previous seasons. Where did he pop up from?

Besides my questions, it was kickass to have "24" back on Tuesday nights!

 

I was thinking the same thing. Last time i checked, Nina should have been in custody of the guys who rescued Jack from that field after the plane crash. Unless she managed to run away from 10 armed men, her ass should be in prison.

Sherry Palmer should be returning next week right? 10pm, or was it 10am???

 

She was pardoned by Palmer, remember? Although it is curious that Jack didn't make any attempts to track her down in the 3 years that have transpired since Season 2.

 

that's right, i forgot about the pardon. Next week outta be good. Did you catch the preview? Jack maybe messing around with the woman who also killed his wife. I'm sure that'll be akward

 

Speaking of the "mentor", what was the name of the actor that played him?

His face and especially his voice looked/sounded VERY familiar. Ahhh, I hate when new characters are introduced without a background or proper setup. Makes me just itch for future episodes (so I guess the producers are pretty smart afterall!)

Anyway, Michelle is so freakin' hot...Tony is an a-hole for yelling at Michelle...She can always come home to daddy...

 

Stupid Kim, almost getting the head of CTU (who is essential to the mission) canned because she doesn't know how to check her Inbox. I can't figure out which is the greater danger to the well-being of the United States...the Virus or Kim in an exclusive high-security position.

With Dr. Anne out of his life (for now? forever?), Palmer is asked to fire Wayne. Apparently some super-rich guy wants revenge on Wayne because he slept with his wife. That's right: Brother Palmer is heterosexual. Nina's back, with longer hair and a sassy attitude. She's the other bidder for the V-I-R-U-S in this silent auction. She wins, leaving Kiefer begging the Salazars for his life since his only use to them was as a broker of this virus. Before this turn of events, however, he turns to Poor Man's Angelina Jolie for help. She in turn turns to Special Agent Charlie Brown for help, but he's getting tortured by some Salazar ranch hand. Meanwhile, aboard the USS CTU, Captain Soul Patch seems to be having trouble navigating the ship. While swabbing the deck, Spawn notices this and tells First Mate b****elle, who then goes and tells Lieutenant Chappelle, who calls a meeting so that Captain Soul Patch can argue his competence…which he does effectively.

 

The president's mentor was previously the serious judge on Ally McBeal back when he had hair.

I seriously didn't like the scene where Jack had to beg for his life. It was so un-Bauer like. Instead, he should have jumped 100 feet in the air and landed back down on the ground (Neo-style) to cause an earthquake and knock everyone to the ground, get their guns and the virus, and fly off to safety.

I had assumed it was her son, but Chase said that it was her brother.

Was there a glitch where Fox went to commercials and missed 3-4 minutes of the show around 20 minutes in where everyone else was? It was right after Hector said how Chase could take a bullet in the hand and the camera was on Jack.

When Jack was forced to kiss Nina, I could just feel the tension throughout my body. Can you imagine being forced to kiss the woman that killed your wife (with whom you had an affair with)? Talk about emotional!

Oooh, how I wanted to pimp slap that little kid. How the hell does he betray his own momma for some random boyfriend?

As for Chloe. "Parents are a protected group!" God she is getting more and more on my nerves... and I'm fearing more and more that she will be an integral part to the plot by season's end.
