The score from last night's game should have been 103 - 92.

I already posted this ,but after sleeping on it I thought it deserved it's own thread. Lock it up if you want.

everyone saw when JVG called the timeout to complain about the score. I checked it out. He was right. The Knicks were given 1 extra point. actually 2. Q Richardson went up for a lay-up he got blocked by T-Mac and Yao. the score for New York goes from 43 to 45 for no reason. Then he is given only one shot and makes it. WTF??

there is no way it was goal tending either.

Does this happen ? I have never seen is so I do not know.

It should be a big deal. How would we feel if we lost by 1 or something? Brain farts by the refs should never happen.

If it doesn't **** up the spread for all you bodog addicts then it does harm to no one. But that's interesting that they mess up scores in professional sports.

Actually, it does matter... The line on this game was Rockets by 10 1/2... Those who bet on the Rockets last night (myself included) got royally screwed by this screwy screw up... screw the refs...

after re-watching it, it seems that Bulkman made a three when knicks were 41, then the score goes up to 43 instead 44, and never corrected it.
so next possesion, THE REFS FOUND A CHEAP WAY TO BALANCE IT OUT.... which is treating a plain foul ( no basket) as a 2+1, 2 points count(no basket made and no goal tending) and 1 more freethrow.. WTF

    http://www.nba.com/games/20061110/NYKHOU/playbyplay.html

It's at 32 seconds before halftime.

It seems like what was supposed to happen was a 2 shot foul. But the refs weren't paying attention and gave him an AND 1, even though the OFFICIAL SCOREKEEPER was told or just put it down himself as a 2 shot foul. On the official score sheet, Q Rich hits both freethrows to make the score go from Houston 49 - NY 43, to Hou 49 - NY 45. But then when Yao hits a layup with 15 seconds left in the half, the score jumps to Houston 51 - NY 46. That 1 point came out of nowhere...because I think the refs screwed up. They called a 2 shot foul, but accidentally let it play as an AND 1, and so the score keeper just gave the knicks an extra point...so weird.

    Sorry I was wrong.

I looked through the espn play by play and re watched the section of the game. It started by the score keepers giving only 2 points for Ronaldo's sp? 3. Then FSN didn't show Richardson shoot his first free-throw only his second.

I'm sorry again and PLEASE lock this Up. so I can quit feeling stupid. LoL.

    Good catch... LOL

Yeah WTF. Those refs have no accoutability. Do they have performance review by their superior?

Or they just simply dwell on the NBA welfare checks?

Damn, I predicted 104-92 Rockets win in the game thread post #12.

I would have been even closer, just a 1 point difference!

Jeez...read the thread. The score was correct. They gave Ronaldo 2 points on his 3 point attempt on accident and it took them until the next possession to fix it. Thus the extra mystery point.
