The sad state of everything. Even the fun threads get trolled by race-baiting. It's probably just a symptom of the internet in general, but it ****ing sucks. If people like "GlenDice" get to post here, why do we expect decent people to stick around? Not kidding.
You just cannot expect posters to grow up anymore like in RL because what interweb experience will make you a more mature poster? There is hope tho that some at least can grow with time like a normal person would.
Do you mean walk on out of here? Definitely considering some significant time away. If you mean post competently, I believe I do that. I try to call people out for the worst behavior. I gave up on D&D some time ago, but now it's all over the Hangout too.
I only frequent the GARM, Dish, and Feedback. By now, I kind of know which threads to avoid. With some exceptions, most threads turn sour after about 4 pages or so. Sometimes earlier. I usually don't go into long threads unless I am following a good conversation or am engaged in one myself. I would occasionally peek into those epic dumps (e.g. the Lin thread) just for some cheap entertainment value. BTW, I agree that people like GlenDice should be banned, again and again, no matter how many times he comes back with another name.
What's wrong with the GARM? It's still September. I'd say this is the healthiest it's been since before the "Fire Morey and Tank" era.
So uh, when is GlenDice (like downbytheriver before him) going to get banned? It seems every few months a conservative troll account pops up on this board. I have a feeling these are in some way related to some past or present poster who just gets a kick out of trolling.
Pretty much this. It always becomes about him. Sometimes he makes good points; sometimes not. Regardless, he goes out of his way to be a jerk and obsessively beats the same tired drums again and again. Regardless of forum.
This thread was pretty funny though. I almost wish there could be like a feedback forum vote of some sort. There are (generally) positively contributing members in the feedback that I believe would make an educated decision. Like a jury, per say. The Texans forum already needed serious help, and Bobby is absolutely trashing it more. I hope the Eristocracy guy posts more, personally. Ah man. Heh. If you ever start taking things too seriously, just remember that we are talking monkeys on an organic spaceship flying through the universe. "If you're the (jtr self-certified) smartest person in the room, you are in the wrong room." And don't let the door hit you on the way out
Jtr is a riot in a similar way to how Ronny (honey bear now lolz) is a riot. This forum would be boring without those type of guys.
I want to complain about the sad state of Clutchfans Feedback. It doesn't seem as good of feedback compared to about 10 years ago.
