The Sad State of the GARM

I'm blown away by the hypocrisy of people spending their time on a site founded as Clutch City but showing such negativity and a complete and final indictment of the team before they are eliminated. Or course not everyone is "quiting" on the team but the selfish "what this team owes me" and "how this team is failing me" attitude is ridiculous considering all the hard work these guys put into getting where they are. The work they put into being the highest seed in more than 15 years. And what, they are struggling against a great team? The simple conclusion is that for some reason they are quitting after a long and grueling season and not that they are playing against really good competition?

This thread is not about how the Rockets can come back. It's about how the namesake calls on a time where so many people gave up on the team in the same way that people are giving up on them now. Just because that team came back doesn't mean this one will but where is the hope? Why even post here if you don't think fans should have learned something from clutch city?

I am 100% sure no one misses me in the GARM but that was the only part of the site I ever looked at for years but now I just can't handle it. I'm sorry to Clutch and all the other people working hard on the site. I love it and I love what it means for the people who are die hard fans. I love the community that I am apart of in the hangout, Texans and football forums.

After you go to a movie, you have a right to say, "This movie sucks" or "this actor/actress sucks." It doesn't matter if that actor/actress has "worked hard" to become a movie star for you to watch on the big screen.

Besides, it's probably healthier for the guys to vent their frustration in the GARM then to kick their dogs at home or to throw beer at the players in the arena.

The Rockets are sucking and playing like they're ready for the off season and people are griping about it. Shocking. Are we supposed to be congratulating them for their regular season success and wishing them well on their vacations and new cars?

It's not the losing that's the issue. It's the lack of effort, the quitting, and McHale's inability to do anything about as well as his inability to make obvious adjustments in a timely fashion. Honestly, it makes me question whether I want to spend my time watching this nonsense.

Exactly. I'm contemplating something I never thought I would as a lifelong Rockets fan: not watching a playoff game.

This is a Rockets site (best team site on the internet, frankly) and the Rockets are playing like a pile of warmed over fly infested cow dung. You have a problem with people talking about it?

We are FANS, not cheerleaders. We're allowed to call out our team when they aren't playing well. It's kind of the whole point of this website... How boring would this site be if everyone was constantly posting about rainbows and unicorns?

For the first time in almost 40 years of being a Rockets fan, I actually turned off a playoff game at halftime Sunday night. I knew what was coming. And I was right.

Tonight, sadly, I will only watch our of morbid curiosity.

These games are ugly and extremely long with all the hacking . Watching Mayweather fight is more exciting

I've seen warmed over fly infested cow dung. I've stepped in it. These games are much worse.

I'll either be pleased by their effort & performance tonight, or it'll be more of the same and I'll stop watching at some point and I can put it out of my mind and focus on the Stros for a while.

Dude, I have watched every single minute of every single Rockets game all season, many of them at TC up until Game 4 halfway through the 3rd quarter

I quit in the team during the 3rd quarter of Game 4 for their shambolic performance and asked my GF to watch whatever she wants.

I didn't even check the score after the game and honestly I still do not know the final score.

I'll be watching Game 5 tonight but if they continue with the "I don't care" attitude I might quit watching again

Rainbows are lame, clovers are weeds and I'm not a beer fan.

I'll take the world as it is, warts and all, but I'd love a BBS without you.

It would have been even funnier if GARM had been filled with "Rockets in 7", "Ban me if Rockets doesn't win the series" ...
It's called human nature, and that's what make this board fun.

Hey guys, did you hear about this analyst that doesn't believe in us?

The GARM is unreadable whether we win or lose. Good grief.

This is the worst part about this every-other-day schedule, it doesn't give the GARM enough time to recover.

Rockets haters have subsumed the game thread already.

It's sad it's the first time in 18 years we're here and we can't wait till 5 minutes into the first period until some grinning poop monkey surfaces to proclaim that all of our players and coaches are a bunch of gutless turd buckets.

Report them. I'll look into it. Maybe not right away, but I will look into it.
