Rockets can't say they didn't see it coming. It's all over his scouting reports.

    Scouting Report from Draft Express:

From NBAdraft.net, excerpt of his weaknesses (although the first sentence might be a highlight in Rockets system):
I kinda feel like Jones needs a coach that will get in his face and give him a short leash. Because of that, he may develop into a good off the bench option, but never be nearly as good as his skills suggest he should be. Because he can't be trusted to make correct decisions, some of the skills in his wheelhouse should just be considered off limits.

After that nerve injury he wasn't the same, that's the problem imo.

Nice to see he's working to better his game, but we all know Aldridge took his soul in that playoff series.

    Who is Terrence Jones?

Is that one of those fat, nonathletic losers that plays eggball or stickball? FTW Rockets FTW?

Too bad his name isn't Terrencias Jonasaukus or else DD would have slated for an 8 figure annual payday.

Sometimes you have to take a RISK.

Methinks this is a jab at DD for his love affair with VSpan, aka Greek Tmac.

Bbholic must be asleep to miss out on a chance to s*** on Terrence Jones.

He could chime in with, "What more need be said?" But when it comes to TJones, he won't miss a chance.

I'm sure he will be a late bloomer because the couple of things he does fairly well - handle the ball, shoot from 3 - are becoming more prevalent and eventually he will learn how to play consistent basketball.

This past season though, he just couldn't dial in again and it was frustrating. His progress has stalled big time, I don't think we should bring him back.

Sad how he fell off. I was watching highlights from the playoffs last year and he had a lot of key plays against the Mavs and the Clips. Zach Lowe had an article at the beginning of the season about him getting the max but he won't be getting anything close anymore.

I think Tjones is a great example of how the Morey and the Rox FO were so wrong regarding the human element of running an NBA franchise.

They were always asked previously how they thought players would fit (ex. when Howard arrived) and Morey's standard answer had always been "We just worry about getting talent first, and then let them work it out". Well the team's performance has shown that chemistry and fit are extremely important, its just that the Rox had been extremely lucky with team chemistry before the previous year so they took it for granted. This can also explain why teams like Sacramento sucked despite having some decent players on the team, when the team chemistry is low it becomes negative it can turn decent players like Tjones and Brewer into total trash.

The only silver lining I can see is prior to the season I was worried we wouldn't be able to keep either Dmo and Tjones. Now, I couldn't care less, what with Dmo's injury risk and TJones' disappearing act. Both of them don't seem to be worth more than 7M at this point.

His hands look so small compared to TJ's. Is he related to Trump?
