This is pretty much what I think and routinely mention those four when talking with friends. I'd be willing to give it a month or so more with Lawson but the other three guys need to go immediately and Lawson by the deadline if it still doesn't work out.
i used to give them a pass at the start of the season 'cause I thought it was mainly Harden hurting the team. but now, I'm starting to shift my view. the role players on this team are much more of a problem and needs upgrade than whatever issue we have with Harden. esp, Brewer. boy, he sucks big time.
Yes, lol... We just can't let the rest of the nba find out or let the Rockets know!!! Oh wait, nm... Maybe if we clap harder at games the team will play better!!!
u don't know the team playing system can make different result. the defense is not just player's efforts, it's team defense system. the offense is just some smart players to play, it's more about the team offense system. any NBA player can play if u give him a good system
Biggest problem with this team are the role players. It's basically Harden and a bunch of role players - there are no other consistent scorers on this team.
I agree with the overall message, for sure. Have some of my own thoughts: - Why does Ariza always get a pass?!!! The guy is only shooting 36%. And according to NBA.com, he isn't even a plus defender this year. The guy sucked for most of last season as well. - I don't think you want Lawson as a role player. The guy can really create offense. You can build around him. I have to blame the coaches. Is this the first team who has had two drive and dish players in the backcourt??? Why can't we make it help use? Totally blows my mind. - I think not prioritizing Josh Smith was the only personnel decision I really disagreed with Morey on, and I think it was really, really stupid. - I did not agree with going after Corey Brewer last year, b/c he can't shoot. Even though he couldn't shoot, he still was really good for us last year, and I don't recall too many people advocating dumping him for someone better. 3&D players go for more than $8M these days.
Also, Harrell seems to have some problems beyond being young. He has been a terrible rebounder. I don't think rebounding is a skill that requires that much development in the NBA.
Why do you guys insist or trying to get a guard that needs the ball in his hands... Doesn't make any sense as long as you are playing him along side of Harden. T_Man
I blame Harden mostly. Only issue I have with Morey this year is failing to address the 4 spot, knowing that DMo and Howard would be out. He even had me with simply signing Chuck Hayes, but let him go to get flexible even though the team couldn't buy a win.
Well. I stand by this. Harden is having some mental problems or something. He's allergic to giving any effort. He's constantly walking up the court. He's not playing defense. He's disinterested. That being said, if even one of the damn role players on this team produced whatsoever, we wouldn't be in this position. Look at last night. Marcus Thornton contributed and we won despite a bad night from Harden. I'm pissed at Harden. But he shouldn't have to score 40 for us to win. The role players on this team are actually garbage.
