That's right, our record with Yao and Mcgrady is 13-6 that's a 68% winning percentage. Over the 34 games left that's 23-11, even if we play at that clip for the remainder of the season we're still only 42-40. That's probably still not a eighth seed, point being we have to do something remarkable to make the playoffs minimum 10 game winning streak. Can it be done? yes Let's keep the positivity going no more posts about who we're going to draft, and no more garbage about us tanking.
I think 42-40 is more than enough to get a 8th seed. Look at the west now, lakers are only 24-24. If we keeping beating the western teams we will do fine. Gotta improve record in the division, 0-9 is embarassing.
Am I the only one who looked forward to those old ced posts, the ones where he'd say nothing for 3 pages, then the Rockets win, and then, ".........NEXT!" Man. Those gave me goosebumps. Let's hope the magic is back!
I little history...only two 43 win teams in NBA history have ever missed the playoffs. They both happen to be Rockets teams, however. The 2000-01 Rockets were 45-37, the best record ever to miss the playoffs. The 2002-03 were 43-39, the 2nd best record ever to miss the playoffs. However, this year it looks like 42-40, like most years, will be in the playoffs.
Whoops, I was basing this on a similar post I wrote last year. The 2004-05 T'Wolves won 44 games and missed the playoffs. Sorry. But still, this year doesn't appear to be as competitive as last year.
Wow this guy has made a great prediction. So far so good. Definitely the THREAD OF THE YEAR so far for 2006! Everybody join the Rockets bandwagon, it's moving again!! lol
Seriously though... I thought the only tough games would be the Sixers ( because of the back to back) and Phoenix. I didnt think the Lakers would be a challenge at all considering they had to play Dallas the night before. I didnt expect Tracy McGrady to be in a shooting slump though. Again... I suck.
Nah man, I like your prediction. It was gutsy, and even though it wasn't entirely accurate, we can still get back on track and win the next four. You're my type of fan, mad props.
