The Lakers have poise and can make a late rally in games and as well as during the last part of the schedule. The Rockets have never shown that ability for the past 5 years. That's the difference. The Lakers will make the playoffs. That was an absurd argument you presented.

irony that the "fan support" thread is right underneath this one.

c'mon... the rockets shows a lot of stuff tonight. they just need to learn to close out games.

Oh, Utah is only 4 games behind us and 1.5 games behind Denver. They possibly get into play-off.

I wouldn't go as far as predicting them missing the Playoffs. But yea it's frustrating that they're still losing games to team where they're supposed to beat and this is the same last year. IT's frustrating to see that. I think it has to be with Mobley and Francis though....Rox need to do something about them in the off season cuz they ain't fitting.

After coming up short tonight I'm starting to believe this. I'm so depressed about the possibility of another Rox collapse that I'm coming to this BBS just to post in the Debate and Discussion Forum.

After the next 2 losses against the Mavs and the Wolves I think there will be many more believers. 4-game losing streak anyone? Might as well just accept it cuz it's coming.

It's one thing to portray your point, but stop with the lame predictions. Youre flipping a coin, its not like your basketball knowledge is so extensive youre able to predict the wins and losses of future games.

Do you say the same thing to people on this board who predict wins?

This is just too funny for words. By next week, I predict this board will be in flames.

This will be a very entertaining finish.

Well, they are currently on pace to win somewhere between 43-46 wins which would represent a marginal improvement over last year. The good news is that this would get them into the playoffs as either the 7th or 8th seed. The bad news is that this would mean that they would face Minn or Sac in the first round (can you spell S-W-E-E-P?).

Incidentially, at the beginning of the season, I predicted them to wind up somewhere in the 43-48 win range so they are right on track according to my expectations.

No, you simple minded child, the people who predict wins - as in the case of the game threads - do so in jest. You are doing so in hopes to prove a point, and doing so in an impudent manner. Congratulations, you are the self-proclaimed 'winner' of this board, here's a gold star on your rattle.

What about the people who predict wins in threads other than the game threads? Just admit it, you can't stand anyone saying anything remotely negative about the rockets. You need to step away from the keyboard if you cannot control your temper.

yawn ... maybe it's common for you to throw a temper tantrum, but if you think if im posting out of temper then you need better reading comprehension skills. In this case, youre too self-absorbed to understand that your arguements are weak and childish consisting of statements that go along the lines of this: "HAHAHA I TOLD YOU I PREDICTED THIS BACK IN THAT ONE THREAD BACK IN JANUARY 15th at 2:43!!!!"

To refute your weak, frail, and semi-r****ded arguement, the people who predict wins in other threads, dont procede to make their own thread, calling out everyone on the board and declaring himself king. Your antics are annoying; to save face you declare a moral victory for yourself, just on the notion that your viewpoint is so r****ded that it elicits people to respond to you, which MUST mean youre right! I hope you can follow me and understand that I'm not trying to attack you.

Blah Blah you're taking this whole messageboard all too seriously. Save those big words and careful analysis for something more productive in your life, if you can.

Great, a fellow rockets hating troll to pile on with you, nice work silent-kreskin,. YOu're both right, the Rockets are out of playoff contention by now, that loss to the lakers did it. Game over...

MemphisX, since silentfan is too much of a wuss and is too afraid to put anything on the line about the playoffs, how about this? If the Rockets don't make the playoffs, I'll put "MemphisX is a genius and the Grizzlies rule," or a similar phrase of your liking....and if the Rockets do make the playoffs, you never visit this site again.

    Deal?

BTW, I find your superiority complex, which I guess comes from having the awe-inspiring 6th seed in the West, rather amusing. Yes, I guess when you're a Grizzlies fan, you don't have a whole lot to be proud of so you milk it to the last drop?
