Holy cow! You really are ahead of me in PPD. I was down for a while, but I didnt realize 2 PPD came off my average. Im Steve to your Yao I guess.
oh ****, silentfan is a psychic... oh my god. he is so obnoxious. dude, are you a rocket fan or a rocket hater? you seem convinced that they are absolute garbage. Even if they are, which they aren't, show them some respect. Also, so what if we excel agaisnt the east. Is it our faults? Its not that we cant keep up with the West, its just that our team cant play a fast paced game. Be can beat the Lakers and Timberwolves, show the team some respect. Also, eastern conference teams are beating western conference teams. now im just babbling.. just be happy we dont have to follow the clippers or hawks as our team.
You make a good point. Everybody plays the same number of cross conference games. If the other teams from the West don't win as many of those as the Rockets do it's not their fault. A win is a win.
I'd rather the rockets demonstrate they can beat good teams every once in a while instead of relishing eastern conference wins like the 3OT game vs the Hawks. Now tell me that wasn't pathetic. What about the Cavs game? Almost lost that one. When the rockets can win games against the west i'll give them some more respect but right now it seems like they should switch to the east so they can save face and make the playoffs.
You know his initial post seemed idiotic at best, but when he posted that schedule it was more probable than you guys thought. I think you can take some consolation in the fact that Denver will absolutely, positively have the worst finish of all the Western Conference teams currently in the playoffs and will be the most likely to get bumbed. Rockets will more than likely finish .500 the rest of the way like the Grizzlies. Denver will be lucky to finish the season with 41 wins.
Utah is making a strong push and I just checked their remaing schedule, they might manage to go 12-9 the rest of the way (I am counting on the Rockets beat them at Utah), and finish the season at 43-39. That will be quite scaring. It seems to me that Rockets, Denver and Utah will compete for the final 2 spots for the play offs, and the games between these 3 teams will decide who is gonna be in. We will play Denver twice, Utah once. Utah and Denver will also meet twice. Here is hoping that we go at least 2:1 in these three games. If we sweep Utah and Denver the rest of the season, we are likely in even if we lose the next three games in a row.
If the Rockets only win 43 games, just like last year, then they are chumps who don't deserve to make the playoffs. However, that would entail them going 9-15 the rest of the way. Unless Larry Smith takes over the reins, that will not happen. The Rox have the same lead on Utah that they did three weeks ago. Time is not on Utah's side. A week ago, chicken littles were worried about Portland, now nobody gives a crap. That just goes to show how hard it is to make up a 4 game deficit if you are a mediocre team treading wate at .500.
The Rockets have blown out teams like the T-Wolves, and the Lakers. They have struggled and lost some games that one would think would be easy wins. That's no different than all the other teams in the league. Every other team in the West as just as many games against 'weak' East coast teams as the Rockets do. If they can't get the same number of wins off of those games, then that shows the Rockets have something that they don't.
The same Hawks that beat Dallas, Minnesota, and San Antonio? I guess that means Dallas, Minnesota, and San Antonio won't make the playoffs either, right Silent Kreskin?
Going 9-15 is not unheard of for these rockets. That would mean they win 37.5% of their remaining games. 20 out of 23 remaining games are against western conference teams, where the rockets have won 40% of them vs the conference, and only 26% vs the division. 37.5% is between 40% and 26% which is very likely, especially since a lot of games are on the road vs the west.
My point still stands it shouldn't take 3 overtimes to beat the hawks. I think there's a reason the Rockets keep setting records for longest NBA games. It's called being mediocre.
I guess nobody bothered to look that the Hawks wins against Dallas, Minnesota, San Antonio, and LA all came at home, and all those teams thorougly trounced the Hawks at home...
Actually, your point doesn't stand, it got completely eviscerated, at least regarding the Hawks. But anyway. Have some balls and bet me, or anybody. You won't; hence I am forced to conclude that you don't believe this crap that you're posting and are just wasting everybody's time. Edit: Oh yeah A-Train, I forgot to factor in the intimidating nature of that 4,000 strong Philips Arena crowd and the massive homecourt advantage it gave the hometown Hawks! As somebody who is on the wrong side of a bet regarding the Rox and the playoffs, I would think you would be a little less sympathetic towards Silent psychic.
Samfisher continues to try to bet me after repeated dismissals..lol. ' Since you believe I am wasting your time why do you continue to respond? That says enough right there.
