And the Dow Jones Industrial Average will hit 1 million before the year ends. Come on, let's get real!

I think the Rockets should aim to get the #5 seed (with home court advantage). Then we play New Orleans in the second round and make it to the WCF

We have a chance to do it, but are gonna have to win like crazy, we're only like 5.5 games behind the Suns, if we can get a nice record to end the season itll be great. 29-20 right now is decent, and there are 33 games left, if we can go like 27-6, which is possible with our easy schedule

    It's a definite possibility.
    1. We are only 5 games out of number 1.
    2. There isn't a clear number 1 team that dominates every game.
    3. The Rockets are winning and can still improving.
    4. Other teams are losing or may start to drop i.e. Denver, GS, Portland, SA and imo Phoenix.

Having said that, the Rockets are the type of team that you'll never know what they'll do. This team STILL doesn't have a clear identity. Remember that half of our rotation consists of rookies. So, starting a thread that promises a number 1 seed for the Rockets is a bit premature. We just have to see how the Rockets play from here and whether they keep improving.

I like your bullish prediction. But I am happy that we just make the playoff and show some progress in RA's system. Next year is the big year when Scola, landry and Boorks have one year under their belts.

I prey that the Suns will have to see GSW in the first round.

Every team can make that kind of claim.

The Rockets would have to do the beginning of this season Boston Celtics run to do that, and even that might not be enough.

Also, (if they win tonight) the Rockets probably are NOW at their peak peformance with stringing together wins. I hope they do but its unlikely they'll have 3 more of these streaks left in them. Gonna have to string together some 4-5-6 game streaks with 1 loss the rest of the way. To just MAKE THE PLAYOFFs.

i mean hell, couldnt even be conservative and say top 3 seed. all the way to number #1? after being about #20 two weeks ago.

Suns......Lakers......Mavericks....Hornets......not realistic. The rockets can pull off a 3 seed at best

I'm not going to say it's going to happen, or even that it's very likely...

... But we damn well COULD finish first in the west. Even though we haven't been outside of the playoff picture this late in the season before (other than 05-06), we also have never been this close to the first seed.
