Man i can always put up 30 pts with Kevin Martin in 2k11. His release is so easy. Jordan Hill can really score in this game also if you know how to use him.

How do the trades help the Rockets in 2k?

We finally have a big man and shot blocker to plug in the middle!!! Chuck was way to short to start.

Hope Twill is added to the online roster.

I think Thabeet will really help.

I just downloaded some user created rosters and Thabeet is great for preventing layups.

Yea, I'm the one that created this thread and I've improved dramatically with the Rockets. I've been winning 70-80% of my games with them and only lose in last minute games.

I was using Brooks, Martin, Lee, Scola and Patterson and didn't even need to substitute throughout the game. Save all your timeouts for the 3rd and 4th qtr. Use 3 in the 3rd because if you don't , you lose them at the start of the 4th and are left with 4 whether you use them or not from 1-3 qtrs. Also, always adjust the defense during timeouts instead of rebounding, shooting, etc.

I use full court press the entire game and create at least 10 turnovers a game. Also, I go to coach settings and turn up fast break, def pressure, crash boards, attack basket, take inside shots, off tempo to 100%. Then I go to defensive settings and put pressure on their best players.

Now that Brooks and Battier are gone, I'm sure Williams will be available again. The guy is a beast in the game as far as attacking the basket. When you have him near the basket, hold down the left trigger and hold down the shooting button and don't release it until he performs a dunk or a nasty layup. The guy dunks over guys all the time, same with Lee and Budinger on occasion.

As for Martin, he's the best player in the game. If he's wide open on the corner 3, pass and shoot immediately and he'll hit that shot if you release properly about 75% of the time. Also, use the hot step button with him and if you get him open, shoot right away and its money.

Scola is good for posting up and Patterson is a beast at dunking the ball when you pump fake and then drive to the basket.

Lee is also a great shooter when left open as is Budinger.

    Now that Brooks is gone....

    PG- Lee
    SG - Martin
    SF - Williams
    PF - Scola
    C - Patterson

I was using this lineup for a while and was very effective. Good luck guys!

Martin is one of the best players in 2K11, he hits every jumper and when you drive to the basket he always gets fouled and gets the and 1 a lot too.

No offense, but I can't stand it when people play like that. I only use all the in-game coaching menus and adjust the sliders as the game goes on (ex: defensive pressure up all the way at end of game).

Play the game like it is supposed to be played!

Thabeet has a foul tendency of 99 (average 58)

I haven't played the game with updated roster, and I don't intend to. I'm well into my second season in Association mode and really don't feel like starting over. Besides once you're in your second season, the teams have done so much shuffling (with the exception of Bron, Wade, and Kobe) of star players that no team is recognizable anymore. Especially not my Rockets:

    1st round player/created player/Ish
    2nd pick player/Azbukake/Lee
    6th pick player/Batum/N.Young
    Bargnani/Ibaka/Yi
    Yao/Noah

Even with the current real life roster, Yao is virtually unstoppable in the low post. He can also average about 7 BPG if you really tried. his PER is something like 20+ every game at the very least.

I think it's not all that hard to win at least 80% of your games and come out in the top 2 from the West if you know how to use your players. Chuckwagon is useless.

The roster update came today and where is Thabeet? I don't wanna use DeMare Carroll, 2K!

Replace Carroll with Thabeet so I can block some shots.

Dragic is really good in 2K btw.

Dragic's can shoot better than Martin on 2K, I put on 42 with him online against the Heat. T-Will can throw it down.

Thabeet with his size and 84 block rating makes him a big problem on D. That 99 foul tendency sucks though. But finally have a legit shot blocker now ever since Yao was removed. He can dominate the post on offense some if you know how to use his size and know the advance post moves . He has that 99 foul tendency on D but also has a 99 draw foul tendency on offense so you can play aggressive with him. Played some online games with him before when he was still with the Griz and dropped 40+ pts with him in like 4 straight games. To bad 2k screwed up by not having him active in the latest update but I will make sure he's active in the next update.
