If he signs with us and plays well, that trade is full of win. The Rockets received a couple of first round picks, found minutes for Landry to be traded into Kevin Martin (a legit 6th man), and developed Brooks, Budinger, Lowry, and Ariza.

Yao and T-Mac being out for one year could be the best thing to happen to this team in a long time.

Who else can we sign in the off season that has a remote chance of making the Rockets a contender? Like it or not, Tracy is the only realistic free agent that can step in and help this team win.

Looked at them. He's played in one playoff series, in his second year, and got over 28 points a game in 6 games and made a key game winner in Game 3.
    So, uh....... fail.

Which is why his best game was his first one.

It's a good idea to keep some thoughts to yourself, especially in the presence of people who you know will be absolutely repulsed by them.

Good try, now eat some bricks!

Even if hell froze over and Houston reached out to Tracy he would laugh in their face. Bad relationships in the NBA usually stay that way. Plus Tmac will probably be in a decent situation if New York get's what they basically believe they are going to get. Of course he will have to take little money to stay...but like he cares....he's rich.

Ah. So to take advantage of the Lakers age, you propose to resign 31 yr. old T-mac and slide Budinger down to 3rd string?

    No. never.

Tracy and the Rockets have burned all the possible bridges with each other. This will never happen.

pretty good idea but NOT going to happen! if it did my starting five would consist of
    YAO/HILL
    SCOLA/LANDRY
    MCGRADY/ARIZA
    MARTIN/BUDDINGER
    BROOKS/LOWRY
I think battier will be gone next season along with jeffries and those two 1st rounders for some money to sign some guys who can help this team

It all depends on who they sign.If they sign lebron or Bosh he stays Johnson maybe but then we would have a better chance at a ring.So would he come back home for a better chance at a ring.Or sign with NY and be one and done again?

I'm a HUUUGE TMAC fan, but in this special case I'm going to say no, because I'd rather have Kmart start and I don't think Kmart will be as effective coming off the bench.

I DO advocate for somehow trading Scola or letting him expire as well as Battier, and somehow getting another quality big.

The full MLE? Really? Pass the bong.

You don't put talent around Tracy at this stage in his career. You could make an argument for putting Tracy around talent, but even this is suspect.

See above. If Tracy is lucky, he will learn to fill his new role, which is complementary player. His star has fizzled.

Alright, I heard you. Now, duck some brick!
