Does anybody remember we gave up RUDY GAY to get Shane Battier? Now you want to give him away for beans? If these 6 games have told us anything, Shane is the glue that keeps our team together. Our defense has been atrocious with him on the court.

Seriously, did Alston sleep with your wife or something? I think we understand you dont like him.

Of course, I find it odd you say he cant shoot and should never shoot, yet in another thread you say his lack of taking shots this year is actually negating his value to the team.

Honestly I don't think trading Battier would help us more than hurt us, if trading for an upgrade in the PG position. As ya'll can tell our defense hasn't been tenacious enough with him out, Ron is a better 1to1 defender (forget Roy) while Battier significantly improves our team defense. I think if we were to somehow limit Rafer's shots that'd be fine but trading our defensive flood general is a big NO.

The Bobcats wanna get rid of Raymond Felton, do you guys think he would fit in our system, he can penetrate, knock down 3's and distribute...i wonder who we would have to give up tho, i think Morey the genius could pull something off...

Yeah people forget what Battier brings to the court...with him on the court we really become better, imagine having to defend the game winning shot and we have Artest and Battier out there, we can sit out the weak defensive link (T-Mac) and just shut teams down...i really think by december this team will be rolling

Wow. These posts are actually becoming amusing. It's funny to think someone out there really believes this crap. Actually, it's sad

ESPN has updated their salary numbers for the Rockets by adding what appears to be Justin Reed's contract. Rockets are $1,652,238 over LT.

Oklahoma are the only team in the league who can use their trade exception for Head and not go over LT themselves. It's going to cost whichever team that tries to get their hands on that TE and there are quite a handful of teams looking to cut salary.

What does this all mean? The Rockets will need to make a series of small trades to salary dump $1.7M or they package at the minimum $8M and take back 25% less.

It might not take a "PG crisis" to have Battier traded. Battier + either expiring contracts of Head or Francis gets them over that magic $8M mark. The Rockets might even re-visit that Outlaw + Rush trade nee Rush.

Isn't funny that we have begun every season saying that the one position where we have TOO much depth in was the PG spot?

Now we have a two highly paid (and overpaid) PGs-one likely missing most of the season rotting away his remaining contract year on the bench, while the other one should not even be starting. And the bright spot? A fast but undersized 2nd year point guard, who might be better than any other PG's we have on this team.

    The irony huh? :D

Nah we can't have a PG like Felton as he can't shoot. He can really pass though, getting top10 assists in the league with mediocre players to distribute the ball to in Charlotte.

We need Aaron to develop. In the mean time, I'd love it if we can get a trade done like the one I proposed in OP.

I'm left wondering what if we had Rudy Gay...lol

Aaron played well today, but Jordan Farmar played way better
