it didn't translate in a win, so it is irrevalent. But Beverly's play was great

didnt brooks have a couple of strips and a blocked shot.. a couple of blown assists. the man hadnt played meaningful basketball in 2-3 years... still his ball handling and natural bball instincts were evident..

wow, what a pathetic thread...did you know that between the 8min and the 6min mark of the 4th quarter, when both harden and parsons touched the ball but not before passing to delfino first, that the rockets were on a 4-0 run? Extrapolated over an entire game, we would have blown out OKC by 100! like seriously, next time, no need to reply to this garbage

You mean the natural bball instincts that led him to turn the ball over, miss a shot terribly and let Russell Westbrook run all over us. THOSE basketball instincts?

I guess you and I are seeing two different games here.

Oh please. Why would you create a pathetic thread like this rather than just be please the team toughed it out and did us proud? if not for a few questionable calls/plays we could've come away with a MAJOR upset.

Am I too late for the crucifixion of a guy who just got injured putting his body on the line for the team?

oh no did he turn the ball over and miss a shot. OH NOES cut him now.. i like how you try to be so dramatic to make it seem much worse. the turnover was miscomunication between he and smith, why did smith jus t let the ball roll right past him.. smh. the missed floater happens, a rusty shot from a guy that hasnt played live ball in a while. he still looked way more fluid handling the basketball than lin ever has.. his combination of speed and ball handling means he can break down his man and he was doing a good job at that, again a couple of blown assists and its a different game..

See, the difference between you and I is I watch games objectively. Aaron Brooks has NEVER been a good distributor. And yet here you are making it seem like he usually sets up players for assists. His main strengths were his ability to get into the paint and to hit 3's and he did the latter extremely well. And yet he has not done that in TWO years. Without those, he is useless. He has also never been good defensively. I suggest you calm down, get all thoughts of Lin out of your head no matter how much he is sucking and watch Brook's play objectively. Maybe Brooks can turn it around and start hitting 3's and penetrating again. But this game surely didn't give any indication of that.

I really hate Jeremy Lin's jump shot! I hope he uses this summer to change it. Everytime he shoots i cringe! I just hate hate hate the arc and look of it!

im not making it look like he "usually does" anything. i made an observation on his play today, and he was trying to run the offense and stay within his responsibilities. he clearly was trying to fit in and not step on any toes, setting up a couple teamates that failed to convert on what should have been easy baskets.

again all im saying is he looked fluid handling the basketball, this would fall under the category basketball instincts. he was also able to get to the basket, even though he missed his only shot badly..

you made the claim he was terrible on defense, i merely stated he was active, even stripping a couple of balls and made a weakside block that lead to a fastbreak, he was making an effort.

um. I don't know if anyone realizes, but you don't want your point guard rebounding. Rebounding point guards, especially in our offense, hurts the speed of our tempo AND it also directly impacts the number of fast breaks the other team gets.

Yes, I love his rebounding, but I'd rather see him hustling his ass back instead of trying to crash offensive boards.

Hmm... something makes me think if Lin had done what Brooks had done you would be crucifying him for his blown assists and not making excuses out the wazoo.

Ha why doesn't anyone hate Parsons's shot? That shot is ugly (though pretty effective).

Are you seriously accusing Beverley of lacking hustle? Beverley's not an idiot -- if the rebound is out of his vicinity he'll get back on defense, but if it's anywhere near him he's going to elevate and grab that extra possession for the team.
