So the Rockets gathered in Toyota Centre on April 17 for their 1st team practice after the regular season in preparation for their Game 1 with Utah Jazz.

The team practice started from 13:00 pm in the afternoon and lasted until 16:00 pm before it was open to the media. There was strategy/game plan walk-throughs and scrimmage, and then the shootout practice.

When the team practice was open to the media, Tracy McGrady, Luis Scola, Deke Mutombo, Bobby Jackson were on one side of the court competing on their free throws.

Aaron Brooks, Luther Head, Carl Landry, Steve Novak and Loren Woods were on the other side of the court doing the walk-throughs, practicing pick-and-rolls, while Mike Harris and Chuck Hayes were observing under the basket.

Tracy McGrady was very high throughout the free throw competition. He grimmaced, danced and even shook his bottom in front of the reporters. And when Luis Scola was concentrating on his free throws, Tracy sudenly shouted "USA Jia You" just to distract him....and Uncle Mutombo also joined in for the fun.

But when Uncle Mutombo was focusing on his free throws, Chuck Hayes suddenly screamed loud from the other side of the court. Even though Uncle Mutombo still managed to make his shot, he turned around and tried to find out who the trouble-maker was.....and Chuck Hayes immediatley silenced and hid away......

Good to see Hayes; hopefully he is working on that FT

Instead of random forward foot movement and release, he needs to go back to his old system: lean back, flip tip of foot back, stand on heels, release off balance shot.

Those are either really short pants or really long shorts. Either way, they look like something a girl would wear. Short pants, long socks. What is he thinking? Well, I guess as long as he hits his shots...

i don't get it. how can tmac be so relaxed?? if i were him, i would be too nervous to eat or sleep. while he looks he had won a thousand times against utah.
