Precious is indeed precious. I doubt if he will be available with the 16th pick.

It really sucks that we just got this pick yesterday. Not really much time to do homework. It leaves room for mistakes.

I'm going on a limb and I say we do not end up with this pick.

Silas could of already been doing work for Dallas about the draft.

    They have the 18th pick

It’s up to the scouts and Stone/ Silas to coordinate information and come up with a good player. It’s not Rocket science to pick the player with the biggest upside. No pun intended. Nevertheless, your point of view is very valid. I hope that the Rockets will make a good decision.

Don’t go for Cole Anthony. He is smart and can shoot, but he lacks speed and size. Kira Lewis is a gifted athlete and a good all round player. Athletic/ fluid players with good IQ and some upside get the edge over more experienced ones in my opinion. Saddiq Bey is a good player, but lacks the upside of Alexsej P.

he's got more passing and ball handling ability already than KP does. but obviously doesn't have the inside game, although he manages a good block rate due to hight/wingspan

definitely has the tools to possibly be a star one day, or he'll be out of the league in 2 years lol. but if we're trading harden, that's what we need at 16. I'd take a higher floor guy if we had a higher pick but there's no one else mid first round that has as high as ceiling.

now if we wanted to go another route and use this rookie as a trade chip (like with lamb and Greene, both included in packages for harden and artest after strong summer leagues) then you go with Nesmith, Anthony, Maxey, and hope they come out scoring early, then package them with ending contracts like Ariza and PJ.

if stone wants to play it safe, get a high floor guy so his first trade wasn't a total waste, go with smith. a center who can hit 3's and block shots. ceiling is miles turner, floor is baynes. you'll get a starter out of it but no chance for anything else.

all depends on whose available. I'm reading that Poku and smith may end up in the lotto. and depends on what angle stone is going for.

What kind of "system" does Silas run??

Seemed like Dallas was adopting the Houston model, but now Houston is blowing it up so what is the offense going to look like?

Think that will determine the type of player they will go after. (duh I know)

One fine young man by the name of Alexander White.

The rub was his mental issues.

Anyone know what the protections are on the lottery protected first round pick we got from portland for 2021? Say if portland happens to miss the playoffs in the stacked west next yr?
