No, I'm just disappointed by the Rocket's poor play. There must be improvement with a team this talented.

What's one game, i'm still not impress until this team can go on win streak like their capable of doing. They played one good quarter out of 4. I 'll be more impressed if they finish with a 3-2 record for the next 5 games.

That Sacramento game is winnable with key players on the injured list. The Rockets might do better that I expected after all.

We beat one of em last night!! ;)

Fo real Raven, its too early to judge anything....The Rockets are a team still tryin to find its identity....give em time, they'll beat the good teams eventually..The Rocks will be much betta afta the all-star break and in the playoffs...at least rite now theyre doin wut they SHOULD be doin by beatin up on the bad teams in the league and not gettin blown out by 30 by em. Were on a tough road trip were, wut 2-2 rite? lets see if we can beat the kings in arco. That'll be kinda nice......

I am certainly encouraged that the Rockets have a winning record, but can you name one game this year that have looked sharp? They are playing some really ugly basketball. And you know what, Frances may be the most talented player in the universe, but I just don't like the way he plays. He a very casual with his passes, wastes far too much of the time clock, he is in love with the pull up J, and much of the time, he just doesn't seem to know what he wants to do. I will keep trying to like him, I really will.

As long as the Rockets are doing well and winning sit Mobley out and rest that ankle. The last thing we need is for the same thing that happened to Reggie Miller to happen to Mobley. Reggie tried to gut out the ankle injury and it just made it worse and he had to sit out for awhile. We don't need that to happen to Mobes.

Wow calm down, I'm just pointing out that the Washington win is as impressive as the Seattle win. People are happy about it now but if you use the logic of saying that Washington is mediocre now then you could say the same thing about the Seattle win if Seattle loses 2 or 3 in a row after this game. It's to early to point out that this win was impressive and the other is mediocre because by the end of the year Seattle could win 30 games and Washington could win 50 games, you can't tell.

The Rockets have the 3rd best record in the West, what else do you want from them? The only teams with better records are Dallas and Sacramento.

That Sacramento game is winnable with key players on the injured list. The Rockets might do better that I expected after all.

The Rockets are also missing a key player, Mobley the #2 scorer on the team, so if the Rockets beat Sacramento people can't use the excuse that the Kings were missing key players. The Rockets are the kings of missing key players.

How come they can't. The kings are missing 4 key players.

    NP swt939, it's cool! :D

Yet the Kings are 13-5, so if the Rockets beat them you can't really say they were missing key players because the Kings would still have the #2 record in the West. If the Rockets lost to Seattle last night we could have said "Well we were missing our #2 scorer", but nobody would have bought it. The Rockets lost to Indiana without several key players (Mo, KT, Cato, Rice), yet you still give them grief about not beating Indiana who is a winning team, even though the Rockets were missing key players. My point though is that I'm not going to feel sorry about beating another team who is banged up after the beating the Rocks took last year while banged up. Especially when that banged up team is leading the Pacific Division.

    I'm sure that's one of their goals...to impress Jerry36.

They made you eat your words last night, whether you are willing to admit it or not.

yeah, this win over Seatle will be good for us, we've had problems against them forever, even back in the "Hakeem" time, Ming also has a whole lot to do with us winning, he pretty much changes the game without really doing much, let's hope rice can keep making them open threes..

This thread seems like someone searching as hard as they can to find something negative about the Rockets.

The Rockets played a terrific game against Seattle. Not perfect but really great ball movement. The whole team was into it. That's improvement.

I don't think most of the people who predicted the Rockets to go to the playoffs thought they would be too much above .500 at the All Star break. I think if we can hover around .500 or a little better by then things should really start coming together.

There is improvement galore on this team. Stevie, is vastly improved, and is a real team player this year. Kelvin is playing hard almost every night. Yao has improved greatly just since the season started. Rice has moments every now and then too.

I actually think the Rockets are ahead of expectations at this point.

The Rockets are 1-4 against .500 teams, but 4 of those games were on the road. Home teams are currently winning at a .645 clip. The three .500 teams we lost to on the road are a combined 23-3 at home. Let's see how our record against .500 teams looks once we get a few of them at home.

Good teams win most of their games at home and are around .500 or a little better on the road. Right now we are 5-1 at home, and 4-5 on the road. Notice 9 of our 15 games have been on the road.

The Rockets are doing pretty well, all things considered. There is plenty of room for improvement, but they're headed in the right direction.

Tommy, do you actually WANT the rockets to lose? Are you a fan? A Houstonian? Or are you just a pathetically pessimistic person?

Alrighty, it seems as if this thread has run its course and the title is a terrible title... now, anyway. :)
