How long do you think it will take JHard to learn McHale's offense?

This is why I need to stop following trade talk so much.

When I hear talk of a possible Houston trade, I get on here as much as physically possible and it never actually happens.

Then something like this comes completely out of the blue. Can't wait for the season to start. Now I just need the ability to actually watch them play, and I'll be good to go.

Daryl does it Houston style. I see a contract extension in his future.

Well, at least James Harden is used to being on a rebuilding team.

I really like the addition of Aldrich. I am sure that it has been mentioned already that he will be a decent backup to Asik.
and yes, it does hurt to see Lamb go, Harden is just as young and more experienced. I'll take that all day. We still have that young team that i want and the star that you all wanted. Clutchfans wins!!!

I'm guessing he already knows how to run the pick and roll :p

I was more comparing their level of impact on winning more so than their actual play style. Joe Johnson is a solid second tier all star, but he isn't a superstar, and no one was looking to go to Atlanta to play with him when he left the Suns. Harden is also talented and has the benefit of being young, but he hasn't made an all star team yet.

How much basketball do you watch???

Harden benefited from playing with two superstars. Do you realize how many open looks Martin will get? The guy's numbers will SKY ROCKET in OKC. The same lame excuses you guys make for Jeremy Lin you'll be making for Harden by allstar break, "Give him time to get adjusted", "Lets not jump conclusions guys", or my favorite "Relax guys Morey can just flip him for another draft pick". Im more upset Lamb was included. The kid might be better than both Martin & Harden in the future.

All in all we gave up way too much for a backup

Depends on if he really wanted his extra money (what, $4M more or so) or if he and his agent were just bluffing thinking OKC wouldn't trade him.

This was just like the Artest trade. Rumors of interest were going around for a while on both but no actual trade talk....then BAM trade done!! Crazy, especially after all the nonsense and constant refresh hitting with all the Howard talk. Great day for the Rockets.

I love this trade, and this is coming from a guy who has been pro-tank for the last three years. James Hareden is totally worth Martin, Lamb and Toronto pick.

He's arguably, at 23 yrs old, a top two second guard in the league. He's a great defender, dynamic play maker, and can score at will. This dude is legit.

With a name like "Harden", I am no longer worried about the injury situation...
