The media's over-sensationalized reaction to it ("classless" "tasteless" etc.) had a larger role to do with the firing than the Rockets expected conservative response to the reaction.

Also, we don't know the behind the scenes of this whole situation. Might not be the first issue. I'm assuming he is the dude that posted the "They aren't even that good" moment.

I'm naive because I don't like double standards so I guess that makes you a jerk for supporting them. Sounds good.

This is similar to my reaction. Think of it like shooting a lame horse who was injured by a fall instigated by its reckless rider trying to attack someone else. In a comforting voice, you put the animal at ease and then do what needs to be done.

"James Harden, I think, is the MVP. Because that’s not a very good team over there.” -Mark Cuban

It's not like the Mavericks organization has been exuding respect and class throughout the series...

Does anyone else think Chad watches Banshee? The tweet is a line out of the TV show, used in two different episodes.

If yall want to make this about Les....then he obviously covered for Clyde because he's Clyde...thats not exactly fair..but he's the owner, so I guess he can do what he wants.

Stuff like this is the reason there's less and less personality in this league (well not only this league).

You can't make a joke nowadays with all these people that can't take a joke.

Can't really hate on Mav's fans for being salty about it.

Heck most of this board went nuts on Ty Lawson when he made the joke about Harden in the off-season.

Again, I have no sympathy for this guy, if he was also responsible for tweeting the video of Harden saying "they aint even that good" regarding the warriors during the pregame huddle.

Its one thing if he posted that AFTER beating the Warriors, but to do so before or after losing to the warriors, only caused Harden and the Rockets more embarrassment.

No sympathy for the guy? He was one of the more entertaining social media guys in the league and got canned for ONE screw up.

    Quit acting holier than thou

I'm getting so sick and tired of the world becoming a place where we are afraid of speech. I'm not scared of bad speech or speech I disagree with. You saying something stupid doesn't injure me. I'm afraid of a world where we're silenced out of fear of "offending somebody."

Guess what? There's somebody probably offended by just about anything that's said or written. So what!

Cuban had been tweeting out his #MFFL. So, during Game 4 (when Rockets up 12) I texted a friend to ask if the Mavs Fans For Life were "Praying for the end of time."

It was a play on words from the Meatloaf song, Paradise by the Dashboard Light.

Does that somehow mean I'm advocating Mavs fans commit suicide? No. That's absurd.

Forgot about that. There was no outrage at all outside of Houston when that happened. Everyone thought it funny.

    Hmmmmm.

Before accusing other people of being "holier than tho" you should perhaps properly comprehend their position.

Where in my post, did I say he should be canned for ONE screw up? In fact, my post CLEARLY stated IF he was also responsible for the much bigger screw up of posting the video of Hardens pregame comment on the Warriors, ONLY then would I have no sympathy about the firing.

IMO the gun/horse emoji is a small screw up, but if it was the second embarrassing incident he caused the Rockets organization within the past 3 months, I find it hard to blame the organization for letting him go.
