After a rocky year, you go on vactation with the GF to regroup and rebuild! Yall come back. She invites some of her friends over and everyone's talking about plans. {offseason} Most of them are rough around the edges and fugly-ish, but some at least have some nice boobies and butts to look {Greg Smith dunks, Jeremy Lin hustle} But you know you can't take them in, your roster is full {D-leauge bound, training camp bodies only} Then the post-vacation high goes away, and its back to regular miserable life with the GF {regular season}
I see it more like a marriage, where there will be ups and downs but you have to work through it. It's a life-long commitment that some people aren't willing to work at.
The Rockets are like that girlfriend that back in the day used to blow your mind every night. Following a great run in the mid 90s she started slowing down and got out her knee pads. You were still pleased but you were ready to return to the old times when you would go all the way. Following this about 9 years later she started making constant excuses saying that although she couldn't please you tonight, tomorrow she was going to please you, but the pleasing never came. Her strategy consisted of that 13 handys was equivalent to going all the way. Even still to this day she promises she will return to her freak nature, but you can only wait so long.
You forgot the part where she locks you out of the house for 6 months, refusing to perform. So, you go back to spending more time with college girls. Yet, when she ends the lockout, she expects you to come crawling back like she is the only game in town.
I smell a bandwagoner passing by or feeling guilty about jumping off the wagon, a couple of times. It's totally ok, OP. You can go away for the next 1 to 3 seasons, until the team improves, so you can have sociably acceptable or trophy wife team, again. You could learn a thing or two from those old Detroit Lions' fans, Charlotte Hornets'/Bobcats' fans, or worst of all, a Kansas City Royals' fan. The Rockets have not had it that bad, really. Considering we are in the same conference with the historically impotent Clippers, T-Wolves, Kings (if you subtract about 5 to 6 seasons), and Grizzlies.
im not a bandwagon fan, troll, ive been a die hard rockets fan since 92, been courtside to heartbreak, supported the team through the good and the bad, still support the team, the thread was supposed to be a funny response to all the knee jerk threads, saying instead of jumping off the deep end, give the rockets the time to figure out what direction theyre gonna take. all 3 of those teams have gone deeper into the playoffs than the rockets in the past decade...way to prove your point. kys..
