I respect your loyalty Holden and I have been a Rocket fan since 1980 but this is about a team with no desire or heart.I love Rudy T but he's not doing his job.I will always be a Rocket fan even if they are 1-81 but these players we have are all about "Me,Me,Me," they are selfish and trading for role players makes sense. You have one guard who wants his points every night(Cat) and one who can't decide if he should score or let evryone else score(SF), what are their roles? When we won championships look who we had,Dream,OT,K.Smith,Mad-Max,Drexler,Horry,Cassell, all of these players had their roles down and the system was so simple. With the exception of the Dream, I think we have better players now but maybe we have too many offensive players and not enough role players.I will never leave the bandwagon and I respectfully understand your points Holden!! Peace!!

The golf country clubs must be thrilled. The Rocket players will be heading there to play golf immediately after the regular season.

NO. THE ROCKETS ARE A JOKE.

    GOD.

LOSING TO THE WORST TEAM IN THE NBA.

    DISGRACE.

    It's a joke.

    I can't stand it...

but I'm gonna watch the next game. :)

    God Bless America!

MAN. They better make the playoffs.

    I DON'T KNOW.

"I respect your loyalty Holden and I have been a Rocket fan since 1980 but this is about a team with no desire or heart."

    Sorry Ming, but that's wrong.

They WANT to win.....BUT THEY JUST CAN'T. They try hard as heck...but just don't know how to. They play uncontrollably. They need a game plan and strategy. They look like little mouses running all around. They TRY. ALL PLAYERS TRY. They just can't do it.

    THEY ARE A JOKE.

I hate being right about predicting the Rockets will not make the playoffs, but until the team is SHAKEN up and grabbed by the throat, they will continue to struggle.

How many loses to crap teams is it going to take.

Rudy may lose his job due to his stubborness to stick by his boneheaded players.

I really think a trade may be in order.

This is what worries me the most. The other contending teams in the West are unlikely to "tread water". No offense, Holden, because I'm as optimistic as the next guy. When you have a great victory, as we have several times this season, it's not hard to start thinking that the team... as Doc Rocket might put it, "got it". But one thing you can never do in any sport is count on the people ahead of you to falter. You have to take care of business yourself and hope things fall your way.

The Rockets aren't taking care of business. Certainly not on the road. If they don't suck it up they're going to go OUT of business... as far as the playoffs are concerned. I STILL think they'll squeeze into the post-season, but it's hard to ignore facts. The Rocks are furiously digging themselves a hole that's going to be hard to climb out of. Things are getting dicey.

Posey missed a crucial free throw that would have tied the game.. why is everyone blaming steve? Hello, we should have tied the game at the point. I am pissed, angered, and upset. How the heck can we lose to the CAVS. The Rockets don't realize that they are the laughing stock of the league right now.

This team just ain't mentally there yet. They don't understand -- these are the losses we can't afford.

Rockets won't make the playoffs. Schedule only gets harder from here. Its all over. No need to kid yourselves on this one.

A trade won't stop Steve from turning over the ball, or stop Rudy with his idiotic substitution patterns, or make certain players pass the ball .......you get the idea. The only shakeup that will be effective has to come from the top.

Pleeeaaaazzzeeee Les, stop the madness. There has to be a ton of coaches out there who would kill for the Rockets job. We have all the players in place but just need some direction. Les will have the pick of the litter when it comes to choosing a coach. I get goosebumps when I think about the possibilties.

This is the first time this season I've really believed we'd miss the playoffs. You can't lose to the worst team in the damn league when the margin of error is so small. Where is the focus? Where is the desire? I'm sick of the excuses and RudyT's "I'm proud of my guys" crap.

Wow finally a great post on our lack of D...but too bad you shift the blame on the wrong players....The blame DOES go to Mobley and Francis. Check out the stats for Ricky Davis and Palacio....
I use to think it was coincidence that opposing guards get their season or Career highs against the Rockets, but now it's pretty obvious who plays to win and who plays for show on this team

says mobley in the chronicle today...

"We talked about it," Cuttino Mobley said. "We came out flat. They beat us to the ball. They outrebounded us. We caught ourselves trying to come back. It's frustrating. You see it. You try to get everybody together as a team. `Let's go. We're ready. Let's play. We don't want to get a loss.' It just didn't click in.

"Hopefully, during this break, we can think about that, because we have a lot of growing up to do."

personally, im so sick of hearing stuff like this and than not doing what they say. its like a broken record. mobley saying how they need to get together as a team-ha! now thats funny. these guys arent dumb-they know what they need to do. they just dont do it and its really frustrating.
for the first time, i too am now convinced that we will not make the playoffs. im still a fan and will watch as many games as i can, but like that stones song goes, "ive got no expectations." or like that other stones song, "i cant get no satisfaction."
im not one of those "fire rudy t and trade the team" guys, but when we miss out on the playoffs this year hopefullly it will inspire some kind of change.

The habit of playing poorly with sub .500 teams is actually a good thing!!! There are no sub .500 teams when come to play-off time.
The only problem is, we are the sub .500 team and it also a challege to find a set of extra long golf clubs for Yao during NBA playoff.

Last game was a great GAME!!!!! Rockets show some teamwork and Cat was willing to pass to Yao and got some reward pass from Yao. Francis is learning to involve his fellows better but he needs time.

I'll call this game as growing pain. We have future. Last night we lost as a team, and we'll win it back as a team.

agreed. I can't believe I actually put any energy into watching this poor excuse for a 'team'. Mobley and Griffin are downright pathetic at times. Griffin just doesn't care about playing good basketball, and Mobley has the IQ of a deformed turnip. Yao has the strength of my grandmother and Moochie needs to quit playing so we can stand ANY chance of winning. Steve IS the team and always will be...its a shame he doesn't have anyone to help him.

If we were in Miami at least we'd be dazzled by this
    [IMG]

but, no can do, we are just getting dazzled by one of the worst teams in the league. Rudy is making Riley look good.
