Na, I'm currently teaching English in China, been here about 2-3 years now, and the Lakers are China's team. I haven't met any Chinese rockets fans, a lot of students choose basketball players as their English name here are the most common names: Kobe, LeBron, Curry, Durant. Never had a kid pick Harden. People here love Yao, that's true, but that's it. Most Chinese people, just like a lot of my friends back home in Aus, go for the lakers or some other big market team.
The joy of that will only be taken away next year when Westbrook averages a quadruple double while leading a team of chinese league basketball players through the Spurs, Rockets, Warriors and Cabs
