Well, I am not blaming everything on him, I am just saying that he made a lot of bad decisions for the team and demanded STUPID TRADES....

Look at it this way. If we'd have hired Larry Brown instead of JVG, we'd probably be in a position to hire Adelman now. 3 years is an awful long time for LB to stay with 1 team.

They need to play hard for the employment of their no talent a$$. Where were their efforts in the last game of last year?

Do you think Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobley, Eric Pike and Mo Taylor love to play for Van Gundy?

It's appalling to look at the double standards for the players and coaches. Players gets traded all the time just because they don't do well enough on a team, in contrast, coaches should get replaced only when they stink it up. The standard for JVG is too low. The Houston fans are too tolerant and patient. Some fans are OK with firing the coach only when he stinks it up, such as failure to make the playoffs. The catch is with a healthy T-Mac and Yao, it's hard to stink it up like that for any NBA coach. Why don't you ask yourself under what conditions you are willing to fire JVG? When all the players say they don't like him?

if we don't make it past the first round next year. time is ticking, and it has been soo long since we've made a run at that trophy. :( it's been, what, 8 years since we've gone past the first round?

You obviously haven't followed Larry in NY this year. The NY fans, press and the Knicks brass want to run him out of town. This supposed coaching legend played 70 lineups, lost control and the respect of the players and feuded with his players in the press, how did he contribute to a winning attitude with actions like that. Maybe LB was a great coach 10 years ago but old age has caught up with him.

I really like JVG, I do. But if we can get Brown, by all means, grab him.

Yeah, it has been too long. Cat driving to the basket getting blocked by Shaq from behind seem so long ago, what was then, the first round in 1998?

Wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that NY was already becoming the laughing stock of the NBA before LB even got there or the fact that the roster is full of over paid low BB BALL IQ players now would it?

The fact that LB couldn't do anything with the them just showes what a sorry state the Knicks are in.

I say hell no. LB is a good coach, but he is not the kind of guy I want to see coaching our team. As soon as the going is bad/rough/tough Brown will be hitting the road ditching the Team.

He's done it plenty of times to show he has no loyalty to his teams.

I'm not a lover or hater of Larry, but his resume is pretty good. The haters can't deny he has a pretty good reputation on paper. The lovers can't deny he has a tendency to bolt from teams if something better comes along.

One particular positive seems to out weigh the negative: his achievements surpass his transgressions, winning versus losing. He has won a lot more than lost.

If Larry Brown became our coach tomorrow, would we be a worse team or a better team. I believe we would have the potential to be a better team.

    HOWEVER,

after a couple of years (10) of following the NBA, it seems the best possible formula for success is a GM and a Coach who have the same vision of what makes a successfull team.

Obviously I'm not a Basketball expert. But, positivity and vision are traits that are contagious. So, who in the Rockets organization has an amazing vision that every last employee can get behind. I tend to think it's Yao Ming and McGrady. They are the only card we have. Our talent as an entire team is secondary to the potential of McGrady and Ming. We can b**** all we want about surrounding them with proper talent but when your an entertainer like they are, you sometimes understand what it takes more than your superiors. A star knows what sort discipline he/she needs.

I believe we need a more philosophical coach. A player's coach. There are a few ex-players just waiting for their chance...

Hire LB. I'd love to see his wife more often. JVG never shows off his wife.
