http://www.starpulse.com/news/index.php/2009/06/09/exclusive_zack_talks_saved_by_the_bell_r Interview after doing the skit... gotta love the guy...
The OP propping it up as one of the top tv moments of All Time put a bit much expectation on it I think/ It was humorous, the funny wasnt really standout. But I blame the host. I think this would have KILLED on Conan. A strange guest coming out of nowhere for an extended amount of time is what Conan does best. Even Spike Ferensten woulda been better. TAT career = MPG career
for all those commenting on how "ageless" he appeared in the skit... was I the only one that actually noticed the wider forehead... in other words.. receded hairline..?
I loved the part where he said he was originally from Indiana but he moved to California with his two best friends and his high school principal. That was classic.
hardly.. but, i would suspect that such oversight on the most obvious observation of the video.. explains why so many actually found the content to be remotely entertaining.. they didn't actually see the actual content of said video..
I thought he looked like EXACTLY how he did in 9th grade. Absolutely no difference in look after 20 years. I thought he mighta looked even YOUNGER. And I fully expect everyone in the reunion to be the same way. Dustin Diamond will look like the exact Screech from the Good Morning Miss Bliss days.
I think Saved By the Bell is sooooooooo overrated. I mean yeah, the girls were nice, other than that I just didn't relate. remember when lisa was engaged in real life to martin lawrence
Dude, nobody actually thinks it was good. In fact, it's quite the opposite: bad to the point of being hilarious.
It was a cheesy tv show and most of us were young at the time it was on. Lots of good memories watching it. When I watch it now I laugh at how much I liked it.
Yeah. Kids aren't too discriminating. I loved that show. If I watch it now, it's because of nostalgia and not because the show is good.
SBTB The College Years was cancelled way way too soon. I blame NBC for moving it to primetime where it was doomed to fail.
Every time I glance at this thread's title I read it as The Return of the Mack <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/0kp8CfIsypM&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0kp8CfIsypM&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
lol, I agree. That show was geared to 11-17 year old kids. It should have stayed on Saturday mornings and probably could have lasted another 2 years.
well exactly. when you're 25-30, the stuff you liked at 10-15 should probably look cheesy and stupid. that's just how we work. but as this thread and the fallow appearance show, it has a pretty remarkable nostalgia factor working for it. which i'm guessing is why TBS still gives it 2 hours every day and makes those hours 6-8 in the morning. right when all the people who grew up watching it, who now have jobs and careers (maybe for the first time) are getting ready for work. 10 years ago those people are in college and don't know what 6 a.m. is, and nowadays re-running it in the afternoon probably wouldn't get many kids of today. but as some background nostalgia in the morning, it works great.
I didn't say it was cheesy now, it was cheesy to me back then. I never really watched it as a kid and i was their age. not a big deal, I can understand it being popular, kind of like the ferris bueller factor, suburb kids living out in California, pretty girls, zach getting away with anything. I just wasn't into though.
