The ketchup and mustard is a hard color combo to make look good. It can be done but you just can't go replacing the red or silver with gold. I think the yellow looks better as a trim. It's better when it's not too prominent. The championship unis barely had any yellow at all, just a small stripe on the trim. Other than using the flying dildo logo as a base, I thought these were fairly well done. Not too much yellow. On the away jerseys, I prefer the white lettering to the yellow.
No. Like the ones posted by WhoMikeJames on the 2nd page, these are just concepts drawn up by members of the sportslogos.net forums. I like these better than the other ones. The guy who did those also included this one as an alternate which is ugly (for obvious reasons). Somebody else made these using the red/silver color scheme: The logo makes me think of the Raptors for some reason. Maybe it's because the fire from the rockets blastoff kind of looks like a maple leaf.
I wonder why they stopped wearing these jerseys. Last time i can remember them wearing it is when David Wesley was here and I think they wore them again im not sure.
These are awesome... I hope they do something similar. I agree with Cannonball, the yellow looks much better as a trim/highlight color and not as a dominant color. Should be fun to see what we get!
I agree they look great reminds me of a perfect transition from the old to the new. Brings back memories to the good ol days of Rockets Basketball aka Rudyball and Hakeem days.
It would be nice to get the old colors back, I would also like Houston on the jersey instead of Rockets.
I LOVE the Gold pinstripe uni. That is absolutely incredible someone actually made the Pajama uni's look good. I am impressed.
Yellow is a horrid colour. Anyway. IIRC, posted somewhere here, there's a photo of Rip Hamilton in a personal Rockets styled jersey. This jersey was predominately yellow.
Whatever jerseys are made, I like the idea of going back to the days when the word "Houston" was on the road jerseys, while the home jerseys had the word "Rockets". I would sure like the idea of the Rockets fully restoring all the old colors on the team's uniforms. Just think, the Pistons started having more success once they switched back to the bad boy colors.

Totally agree! And I am a big fan of the classic championship jerseys. But the metallic silver trim and the logo actually looks sharp and distinct, unlike the plain "R" of the current 2 toned unis (don't hate the new unis tho, a million times better than the pin stripes or any incarnation, w/the exception of the classic unis).
