the last thing we need are more roster changes and cheerleaders.... we need our players to play. Sadly our stars aren't shining.

oh man this thread is going to be another hit, steve gone but still another 13414342 pages of him. Why do people want him back so bad?? He couldn't even get minutes when we had like 8 guys in uniform cmon now rockets ARE NOT resigning him give up. I wish him the best he should just take the year off and work out and try to get some of that athleticism back so maybe he can be a decent role player next year.

Man you know who'd be really good for this team? Ralph Sampson. Wow he had HEART. Man you gotta love his HEART. Man he really loved this town. Lets sign him to a 10-day contract and let him motivate the guys.

LET IT GO!!! I'm sooo sick of people on this board sucking this guy's nuts like he's still good or something... even when he was in his prime he wasn't a superstar-calibur player..

    dude,
lay off Ralph, his career went down because of a serious injury. He couldn't even walk down the court. So this isn't close to Steve's demise.

I have an inside source-with whom I can't disclose, but I know Steve has been talking to Yao via phone. If Steve can rededicate his whole life to vigorous training and practicing, there is a slim chance he could return to Houston. A 10 day contract so he can practice with the team is being talked about.

maybe he should go down to the d-league he could crack some minutes there and get some valuable playing time that he desperatly needs.

I love Steve to death. In my opinion, I think he wants to be a Rocket and retire as a Rocket. I would hope that Houston gives him a couple of 10 day contracts and if it doesn't pan out, then maybe he can retire as a Rocket.

You are full of crap. He was given away because he was a cancer. There is a better chance of artest leading the league in assists then him being resigned.

Ok, kinda harsh on Steve there, but ok. The Rockets organization is a classy organization and they make classy decisions. If Steve says, "Will you sign me, so I can retire a Rocket?" Do you think a classy oraganization will say "no".
