Because Josh Smith never played on a winning team ever. He has never played in the playoffs, or been part of a playoff series winning roster. Oh wait.... that's all crap. But seems like the rhetoric getting spewed around.... After that 7 game win streak, Pistons are playing sub .500 ball again. Honestly, playing a PF at SF wasn't brilliant, and didn't work that well for them. But playing Smoove at PF has worked in the past very effectively, and seems to be working pretty well for us!
I could see the MLE maybe since he's already getting paid by the Pistons. But there's no way he takes a minimum deal from the Rockets. He wants to be here, but he's gonna get a decent offer from someone after the way his game has rebounded since joining the team.
Dude give it a break. Everybody doesn't know the exact figures as to how he has improved and put it in a very eye friendly chart. Clutchfans are getting more and more annoying as the days pass.
Thanks jayhow. At that rate I hope both parties can quickly agree in the summer to commit to each other.... Josh is showing more maturity on the court and I believe he will show it off the court this summer by staying here...
The big take away should be that it takes time for a player to integrate into a team after acquisition. Should be a wake up call to those who think getting a guy at the deadline is going to fix everything. I'd wager that the history of deadline moves trends more toward a regression for teams that make big deals and more success in the current year for teams that stand pat.
