what if the Jazz gets the 6th place? I don't care at which place the rockets will end this season, I will be satisfied at any scenario only if we don't face Jazz or Lakers in the first round. I think we should at least make the second round this season, we don't have any excuse to chock again in the first round with luther gone and tmac done.

Because Luther and T-Mac were the reasons they haven't been out of the first round yet???

Luther is famous in worldwide as first round chocker while T-Mac is also pretty famous for his second round virginity. Maybe that's just because of bad luck... I still like those two guys even though they didn't play good on our team. I wish T-Mac will get a taste of the second round somewhere else before he retires from NBA.

I firmly believe the Jazz can finish the season at 4 or 5.

What I would like to see the rest of the season other than a string of wins to finish the season is a little more James White. Especially when the other players at his position are having an off shooting night. It would be nice to see at least one monster dunk! :D

The Rockets are probably going go 6-3 in the final 9 games, ending up tied with Denver in terms of wins but getting the head-to-head tiebreaker. I think this might be good enough to give the Rockets the 3rd seed leaving Denver with the 4th seed and a matchup against 5th seed Utah in the first round.

Lose 4 in a row? Doubt it.

I agree that the rockets will receive 4 loses but i also doubt they'll be in a row. the game @ Lakers is a game we are supposed to lose but the other 3 are very likely to be W. Suns are already done and have started their plan on rebuilding, Portland is too young to threat us. Magic is still a contender in the east but I still don't see any possiblity our team will be threatened by the Magic team pointed by Rafer Alston.

While the games with NO, Dallas and GS are gonna be tough contests. Rockets always have troubles coping with warriors and their "run-and-gun", and the Hornets will also shake us alot with awesome jobs by CP and David West. Dallas is gonna work their bottoms off fighting the rockets who are their major rival in southwest. Sac kings also used to make troubles to us but they can no longer do that no more after they cut their last two hands by trading Miller and Salmons.

    6-3 (lucky)
    5-4 (realistic)
    4-5 (possibility)

I honestly think the rockets will go 5-4 and end up at the 5th seed. We probably end up playing Denver or Portland. Utah is a long shot because they have a brutal schedule. Either way I'll take the Rox in 6.

Favorite Utah moment: In the 97' playoffs Matt Maloney gets elbowed in the face by Stockton and his nose starts to bleed. Who gets called for the foul? Guess.....

I see us going 8-1 or 7-2, with losses coming from the Los Angeles Lakers/Orlando and Golden State.

    At worst, we'd go 6-3.

    We need that 3rd seed.

Why not? The prediction that I gave is contingent on us winning 6 of the last 9 games which might not happen. But if it does, then we would have 53 wins. Utah currently has 44 wins with 11 games to go. I just doubt that they would win 9 games or more with 6 of those 11 remaining games on the road against Portland, Denver, New Orleans, Dallas, San Antonio, and LA Lakers. Utah is terrible on the road this season.

thats a very tough schedule ... we are having trouble scoring and PHX is well scoring at will and hungry to get in ... thats a very dangerous team right now .. i actually think we can beat LA if we play great as a team . i think we will have something to prove to them . Portland , orlando , and OKC(healthy) will be tough... anyways ill give them a 6-3 and be happy if we get third seed

Exactly, so do you think that 49 or 50 wins for Utah is going to land them in 5th? Portland is a half game ahead of them, NO is even with them. Portland is currently in 5th and has a much easier home stretch schedule than Utah. NO has a comparable schedule, but I think NO has the advantage given Utah's on-the-road woes.

Ok, I thought you meant they would finish higher, so Utah will probably fight for the 6th seed with NO.
