Beating LA in LA is so difficult though, but it's realistic since it's fairly close to the end of the season and LA will have nothing to play for. They might not be in that "have to win" mindset.
We have 1 game in the next week? Against the Clippers no less. Well plenty of time to practice I guess. I halfway expect a close game against the Clips as we try out some new plays.
the Rockets owe the Lakers bigtime. they can't get skunked for the season. Artest has to redeem himself on both ends of the court, and Yao and Scola need to play the game of their lives or at least not as turrible as last time if they can't be funtastic.
Kobe is gonna remember last time too.... And if he's the kind of competitor that I think he is, he's not gonna let it be a walk in the park for Artest. It's gonna be grand!!!
Only game I see us losing is against the Lakers. All those other teams we've beat pretty well this season.
Don't like this kindof posts. Based on experience, everytime a similar thread came out, Rockets lost a couple games they supposed to win.
i think the last few games will be decided to face a better oponent for the playoffs, if it means playing the jazz and adelman doesnt feel confident playing them i could see us dropping a game or 2 to play a diff seed.
LAL is actually playing for homecourt throughout playoffs and final being 1 game more in the loss column than cavs. So I think this is the only game that the rockets can lose even when everyone plays well that night. BTW hope artest don't get LA fans and kobe get into his head again. Against other teams, I think rockets got shot to muscle out Ws even when someone has a bad night.
I see 5-4 or 4-5 out of the last games. I guess we'll see. I, of course, hope they do better than that.
6-3 is realistic. 7-2 is a bit optimistic. 8-1 is unlikely. 9-0 is not happening but that's probably a good thing because I don't want these guys going into the playoffs without a little adversity to keep them sharp.
The Rockets tend to lose games they're supposed to win regardless. However, I've noticed that they do also have a tendency to win some games they're not supposed to. In Boston and San Antonio, for example. I say 6-3, with losses to LA, Orlando, and Dallas.
If that happens the Rockets will likely be the eighth seed and play LA in the first round....game, set, match, season over.
because we can , we beat them in orlando and we can beat them here, they are no better than us at all.
