Yao's almost 80% clutch FT shooting in his career is kinda amazing in my opinion. Yao's track record speaks for itself. Yao is a clutch FT shooter. 94.1% clutch FT in 2006 season. That's crazy.
pryuen, Yao is an outstanding FT shooter. He also has a very good career clutch FT shooter. So Yao is a clutch FT shooter. No question about it. But, no matter how you sliced it, he did bad in the final minutes FT shooting last night (good overall performance though). Like Clutch has said, it's NOT asking too much to expect him not to miss 3 in a row.
But I do have problem with the fools who wanted to use Yao's last night FT shooting to prove something. Do you even know what you are talking about? Are you trying to say that Yao is not a clutch FT shooter in order to prove something? Open your eyes and read the stats posted by durvasa now. Yes, Yao didn't shoot his clutch FTs well in last night's game. I was disappointed too because of how well a FT shooter he is. But Yao is a clutch career FT shooter. If you didn't watch the games, at least do some research before you start typing next time. We really need more knowledgeable posters like durvasa to straighten these people out.
