Seems like Lin gets subbed roughly 6 or 9 minutes into the game. He gets yanked earlier if he's turning it over and later if playing well. PB plays until midway through the 2nd, if he has the "hot hand" he finishes out the half, otherwise Lin is back in. The second half mirrors the first.

In my opinion, it's much easier to get into a rhythm when you're playing time isn't split into two halves. Also, it doesn't seem like Lin has the "leash" to get hot. Conversely, if PB is hot, Lin rides the pine.

I remember an interview from last year when he mentioned that a vet told him he can't play at full throttle 100% of the time. He needs to pace himself for the entire game. Given McHale substitution patterns, I think he needs to revert to Linsanity 100% of the time...

Lastly, if I were the opposing team, I would focus on shutting down Lin first. Force a few turnovers and he goes to the bench. Then, turn your attention to Harden. Divide and conquer...

Very few fans that like Lin are irrational. It's just a stereotype that is encouraged in the forum. it generalizes few fans' behavior to any people who like Lin.

It is fuled by many factors.
1 many use this as an excuse for bashing Lin especially when they do not have a solid proposal.

2 It is also human nature to try to make someone feel inferior by categorizing them.

3 It is also related to race as some hate his fans because many of them are Asian.

Back to the point of hating Lin, after last game someone wished that Lin get injured so that Beverly would start.

Put him in to humiliate him? You can't be serious. Someone not as cynical might say he felt bad about it and put him in to try and (failed to) make up for it.
It was the perfect wave. 0 pressure (no contract to live up to, no scrutiny), the lane was wide open - he hadn't been scouted and caught every team off guard, no franchise player he felt he was obligated to pass to (until Melo returned), no fear of screwing up, letting anyone down, or getting benched (if that is the case), he had nothing to lose, everything to gain...

I really look forward to watching him mature and get past all these mental obstacles. At one point in his career I'm hoping he'll finally develop that Kobe-ish laser focus, killer mentality on the court, where nothing else matters except balling your ass off and embarrassing the dude guarding you.

Dude that's a really good point. Do you think there are team's out that are this methodical? Until we are a serious threat like the Heat, I could only imagine someone like the Spurs with Pop executing this forward thinking type plan.

I would say that the no scouting applied to maybe the first couple games but to say he was not pressured to perform is absurd. He probably had the most pressure in his life to perform during that Nets game. That was the only time he was put in in non-garbage minutes and he was gonna get cut before his contract became guaranteed if he didn't perform in that one game and the games after.

Dallas scouted him hard, routinely showed him double teams on the perimeter, the way they played Lebron in the finals 2 years ago, and he destroyed them. This was 9 games into Linsanity.

you guys always blaming someone for lin coming out and playing like a wuss...he needs to play with confidence on a night to night basis if he wants to stay in there and hang with the big boys.

how many turn overs does it take for McHale to take Harden out? 20? The answer is never.

    Lin's 3 TO led Pacers to a 22-9 lead.

Didn't realize 3 TO = 22 points nowadays. Great job with the math there kid.

6 easy points for Pacers + 6 points Rockets could have scored on those possession = 12 point turnaround. Score could have been 16-15, not 22-9.

if a poster doesn't understand the significance of your username, then you should not attempt to argue rockets basketball with them.

    that's my advice
