Well i was just being polite, but if you feel that way its ok with me. I still try to respect you even though what ever you say is ludicrous over half the time
So you think it is ok for a team not to make the playoffs with a star player like PP? And you think its not ok for a what i said about our team before with T-MAC to not make the playoffs? 22 game winning streak whats that? Isn't that when you win a bunch of games in a row? And the ultimate goal is to make the playoffs in a competitive west? Yes wecko, winning gets you publicity which PP never did. Any code or set of principles containing different provisions for one group of people than for another. Yes i know what it means, try not evading the question, this whole argument and my points listed highlights all of that. Like i said...you get famous for winning..thats common sense dude. Don't you think PP would have gotten publicity for winning as well? But could he? Thats what separates the good from the bad my friend. The teams pierce has had were better, and he is better than any star player on any of those other teams (hawks, sixeres...etc). Illogical assumption ....on what basis can you make that stand? I'll try to dumb it down a bit and spoon feed it to you. Here, basically your saying that PP was considered bad because he never got any publicity? Why should he get publicity? Does the leader of the worst team in a conference get that? But your saying its ok for him but its not ok for a guy like t-mac who has had a much worse team than PP ever would and it's ok to shift the blame on him for w.e reason. Shawn Kemp (38 or something) Gordan Giricek Tracy McGrady Pat Garrity Jacque Vaughn Andrew DeClercq Pat Burke Drew Gooden PF Jeryl Sasser SG Darrell Armstrong has any of PP teams been that bad?
Actually, if a team has a star and its obvious they wont win a title, I'd prefer if the team tanked in order to get a high draft pick. Worked pretty well for the spurs didnt it? What did you say about the rockets and the playoffs? No. The ultimate goal is to win the championship. I believe one of the main reasons Pierce was so underrated is that the celtics didnt do well for a long time. And since they werent winning, there was no publicity. And if theres no publicity, no one really pays attention to Pierce. I'm not evading anything. I was just pointing that that your example of "double standards" wasnt applicable. I'm glad you were able to find the definition in a dictionary. Tmac is famous. What has he won? But yes, if the Celtics had won in the past few years, Pierce would've gotten a lot of publicity. Which is what I've been saying all along. Its becoming a trend where you take my assertions, try to pass them off as your own, and use them to argue against me. What year after Walker left did Pierce have a good team? And yes, Pierce is better than anyone on the Hawks/Sixers, but that doesnt mean the Hawks/Sixers dont have good players (Joe Johnson, Iguodala, Josh Smith) I've explained very clearly (either in this thread or the one about the pistons/rockets trade) why Pierce is a better fit for the celtics than Tmac. And needless to say, its logically sound. First of all, I didnt understand it b/c its written in broken english. This is what you wrote: "He got them to the playoffs, but wait PP didn't get enough publicity and his team was terrible so its ok.". No offense, but thats gibberish. Its not a matter of dumbing it down. Its a matter of making it coherent. I didnt say pierce was considered bad. Don't put words in my mouth. I said that due to the lack of publicity, not many people could really appreciate pierce's game. I'm not saying he deserved publicity. I'm just saying he didnt get it prior to this year. I'm curious...are you being intentionally dense?
