Man Philadelphia made out like bandits, to only send out Andre Iguodala, pick and moe and net top 2 center Bynum and an under-appreciated Jason Richardson...Wow.. if turner can relish is move to SF then this is a dangerous team in the East probably top 3 (Heat, Boston, Philadelphia). Do you think Philly is top 3 now?

They definitely got a good deal. But I still think the real winners are the Lakers; Dwight for Bynum and a 1 straight up, come on.

What do you mean real winners? All three teams in that trade are winners, they all got good value for their pieces.

THere's no other real winner than LA though. Dude are you high? This trade is even better than the Vetoed deal for the Lakers, all they gave up is a 2017 PROTECTED pick, and for that they upgraded Bynum to Howard and got a backup pg and pf? LOLwut? Are you kidding?!

Top 3, arguable, but top 5 definitely. They won't collapse, like they did last season, if Bynum stays healthy.

The East should be fun to watch, next season . . .

Miami, Boston, Brooklyn, Indiana, New York, and Philadelphia as the front runners with the first three leading head of the pack.

Wild-card teams: Atlanta, Milwaukee, Chicago, Toronto, and maybe Cleveland and Washington.

Yes the lakers got the best player, but looking at their team they haven't solve their main issue... the lack of athleticism on the wings and back-court. To be honest I don't think this will help them beat an older and more veteran thunder team.

However, Philadelphia has shored up their front-court in the East which have a lack of big men and have given the reigns to Turner who looked much better in the playoffs and Jrue Holliday.

Player for player yes Lakers came out the best...big picture I think Philly improved the most out of this trade.

We're all winners. It's not about who wins the most championships. As long as you're having fun, you're a winner.

I agree with you that Philly did really well in this trade but, Jason Richardson really declined last year. 11 points on 40% shooting and sub 59% from the line. He's already 32, and he's got a few years left on his contract.

Bynum, as a No.1 option, can potentially be a better player than Dwight Howard.

Yes Philly are the real winners of this trade. They are not a legit contender and will be right up there with Boston to challenge Miami in the East.

Totally disagree. Howard is much more valuable just on defense alone. And he is no chopped liver on offense either.

Bynum had two great offensive players to divert defensive attention from him. How many times did Gasol fed him with those gorgeous passes in the paint? He's not going to get those in Philly.

No, they won't be top 3 next year.
I'm not even sure they will be as good as last year, short term. That roster is very flawed.

This deal is about getting a young cornerstone for the next decade (if he stays healthy).

This trade isn't the only thing that happened. The 76ers changed A TON this offseason. Their veteran leaders are gone, most of their key players are gone.

It's basically a new team now.
It will take time to build chemistry, build identity and learn the system.

And the roster doesn't make so much sense. E.g., they now have 3 centers (Bynum, Hawes, Kwame), making total 26 mil next year. And more when Bynum resigns.
In the meantime, they have no reliable backup power forward. Or a reliable backup point guard for that matter.

But LONG TERM... oh boy. When Bynum resigns, and some of their contracts will expire, they will try to add new pieces and contend. And if Bynum stays healthy, they could contend.

The REAL winners are definitely still the Lakers, they turned Bynum into Howard without much else. The other nonmagic teams did well too, but LA is the city that got a superstar.

Theres not one single negative thing that can said about their trade or recent moves. They got rid of their two largest contracts in Iggy and Brand and replaced them with Bynum and Richardson. They just need a starting calibre PF. Lavoy Allen and Arnett Moultrie are pretty raw and inexperienced while Thad Young is more of a tweener.

They got rid of an expiring PF whom they need now. They let go Lou Williams who was great for them, and they don't have a backup 1 now.
And they got Kwame, Nick Young, Dorell Wright, neither of whom is nearly as necessary as Brand and Lou.
The Bynum trade, awesome. Recent moves - plenty of negative to say.
