"gettinbranded" = Brand fan, sour grapes over having to share rookie of year with Francis.

    How about

    "gettinoverit"?

    ;)

Funny that a Bulls fan has to side with Toronto to rip into Houston. Kind of tells you the state of Chicago Bulls basketball doesn't it? ;)

Sheesh. Whatta reach. Siding with Toronto? I guess I was siding with L.A. when I said they were the best in the West?

Whatever gettinbranded. You have posted on this board long enough to know when you say something idiotic like he left "He left Houston because Vince Carter has twice the game, and Toronto has 3 times the team" you're going to get flamed. You're on a Rockets board, and that sounds like troll drivel.

So does "The Cubs aren't giving up first place"...but it's what I happen to think. I can defend my arguments, and I'm not afraid to make them.

I think Vince and crew have a better, deeper, team and an edge on the mental side. I think Hakeem makes them a better team than he'd make Houston. And I think thats why he left.

Well I don't care if the Cubs are in first place because I'm not an Astros fan. But you should know that there is a difference between:

He left because Vince has twice the game that Francis does and Toronto has three times the team that Houston does.

    And

I think Vince and crew have a better, deeper, team and an edge on the mental side. I think Hakeem makes them a better team than he'd make Houston. And I think thats why he left.

The first one sounds like a troll coming over trying to start a flame war. The second one sounds like the fan of another team trying to make an intelligent point.

And they sound like the same thing to me. Vince is better as the star he'll complement than Francis and he makes a deeper better Toronto team even better than he'd make Houston in it's current iteration.

Yea, they are really 3 times better with a center that will be lucky to play 60 games.

If the Raptors are seriously placing all their hopes to reach the Finals on Olajuwon, then they are in serious trouble (well, maybe not serious because they are in the pitiful Least). You haven't been hanging around Flutie and RaptorsDynasty lately, have you Branded? :D

This is such a funny statement that someone needs to adopt this as their sig---I already like mine thanks to the Bucktroll!

Worlds different? They essentially got rid of Oakley for Olajuwon. Oakley is an old PF who has stayed in great condition and would help any team. Olajuwon is an old C who has not stayed in great condition and will only help a team if he can miss less than 10 games a year and when he does play, he plays like he gives a damn. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen very often. Many, many years?? That's a strong statement to make. This post is about as ludicrous as your other post. Another fine candidate to become someone's sig, there branded!! :D

Actually Sane, he said that Toronto was three times as good as Houston.

Now I think it's significant to point out that Toronto's major acquisition this off-season was an old center who is oft-injured and their major loss was an old power-forward who is not injured and averaged almost 10 boards per contest.

Obviously these moves made Toronto 3 times better than they were last season when they won about the same number of games as Houston did (don't worry that they played in what was the weaker conference) - where's the logic?

No problem..it's just seems that unless you're Pops or Doc Rocket or another senior member or if you're acting like a troll, you never know if there are other people out there who feel the same way you do because you (at least with me) never get any feedback!! I'm glad that there is someone else out there who sees things the way I do. Vent all you want..we're Rocket fans, we lost Hakeem, and we deserve to vent as much as possible!!

I never put Hakeem down, all I said was that he was getting older (true) and that he misses a lot of games through injury )also true) and that effectively he replaces Oakley in the Toronto lineup - Oakley who averaged almost 10 boards per (2 per game more than Dream) and was not often injured (true).

Hakeem was one of the greatest centers of all time, is my favourite basketball player of all time and I hate that he is playing in Toronto, but he is; and when debating whether Toronto is better than last year or not because his inclusion/ Oaks exclusion I think it's fair to suggest that the difference is not neccessarily in favour of Toronto.

Brand me a Dream hater all you like Freak, but I never went there and won't insult the man at all.

I wouldn't put Olajuwon down for anything in the world..well, at least the Olajuwon that missed less than 10 games a season and played like he gave a damn.:D

Oakley was moved to make room for another aging center a long while back in his career. Bill Cartwright went on to provide just enough in the middle to power the Bulls to a few rings.

Don't underestimate the effect he could have on that team---

Point being, Vince isn't as good as advertised,, Toronto isn't as good as advertised, and Houston in the East would put Toronto to shame.

I'd love to see the Raptors in the West, I'd get a kick out of it.

RocksMillenium is right, you've posted here long enough to know you're gonna get flamed for saying something like that, and something that has nothing to back it up.

You wanna know why Hakeem left?

Because the Raptors would have a chance at winning the Conference with him as a second option at C, in the pitiful East.

This entire debate arguing Toronto's alleged superiority over the rockets(3x's better than a team they had a .000 winning percentage against, are you kidding?), proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Dr. Evil runs NBC and is brainwashing the people of the world.

Vince Carter is hands down the NBA's best dunker, nothing more.
