Sorry but for me it is stupid thread. I mean it is only one answer, just look what the Rockets without T-Mac have dona and than change T-Mac with Yao.

Yao is a great player, but he can't lead his teamas well as T-Mac can

ask the same question about TD or Kobe?

I would take TD to build a team around.
I would give the ball to Kobe in the last 5 minutes of the game.

I can't believe no one has thought to compare the two players before, especially on this board

    5-star thread!!!

    Ummm... How about neither?

On a more serious note, when did the GARM get so bad? I mean, people were complaining about it when I started posting here (5 freakin years ago!), but at some point it went from "Not always intelligent conversation, but better than anything else out there" to "ESPN Message Boards Lite".

    Seriously, what happened?

this is a moot question since t-mac is past his prime now, but we'd be a much better team with t-mac in his prime than yao in his prime. yao is in his prime right now. the question is if his prime is good enough.

We've seen what TMac can bring to us. Let fans be optimistic and hopeful.

there's a lesson we can all learn from this:

even "future Valedictorians" and "future Ivy League school freshmen" make mistakes..

uhm oi the summer is way too long. But since the question is out there i picked tmac. I am actually hoping the Rockets get a Pf that can run the floor with mac and just be a beast. I don't think a third scoring option is what we need to be looking for but a second scoring option is. I think Yao would be a great third option but I would love a guy like Garnett as the second or first along side mcgrady.

i think people are over reacting...look at the poll..it's evenly matched...who contributes to the team more??

for all you braggarts out there...claiming that this thread is stupid...maybe someone out there should really explain how it's evenly matched...

    no one's done that...

Can you explain why Yao is not even good enough to be the 2nd option in your eyes? You are saying that the best center in the league can't even qualify to be the 2nd option on the team and I think you should be at least try to give some reasons for the hyperbole. It's a matter of just being responsible for your own words.
