the rox already had a deal with portland to swap draft picks and we would send them head, but then portland said we had to take miles and the rockets refused. No one wants miles except for maybe isaiah, but he wants everyone.
i don't want to read through the thread because im lazy. dude. what are you smoking? I didn't know CD worked for the Blazers? Why would Portland do this deal? I could see them trying to get rid of Miles, but no way Webster. People need to quit making stupid trade threads.
The "=" sign is only meant to indicate something like "has the role of" in the trade scenario of 1 Talent (Gay/Webster)+ 1 Enigma (Swift/Miles) for 1 Solid Veteran (Battier/Howard). The "=" works better than the ">"...
You are kidding. how did u become a member? means Do you know 1. Miles(~7M) > Juwan (~5M) How can you trade Juwan for Miles + Webster 2. Webster (No. 6 pick) , do you think Blazers will trade him although they got Roy who plays 2 and Webster plays 3 3. Except Tmac and Yao, how do you think the other Rockets' rosters having trade value?
Houston Trade Breakdown Outgoing Luther Head 6-3 PG from Illinois 8.8 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 2.7 apg in 28.9 minutes Rafer Alston 6-2 PG from Frenso State 12.1 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 6.8 apg in 38.6 minutes Juwan Howard 6-9 PF from Michigan 11.8 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 1.4 apg in 31.7 minutes Incoming Jarrett Jack 6-3 PG from Georgia Tech 6.7 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 2.8 apg in 20.2 minutes *trade also works w/ Steve Blake, Portland could send whichever they wanted Darius Miles 6-9 SF from East St. Louis (HS) 14.0 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.8 apg in 32.2 minutes Brandon Roy 6-6 from Washington No games yet played in 2005/06 Change in team outlook: -12.0 ppg, -7.5 rpg, and -6.3 apg. Successful Scenario Due to Houston and Portland being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Portland had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Would you guys like this trade? and would portland? Why Portland does it... They have publically been trying to get rid of dmiles for awhile now. Juwan gets a lot of hate on this board, but he would provide some vet leadership to a very young team. Also, believe it or not, his contract's better than mile's. Rafer would provide leadership too, and he's a better pg than anyone they have on their team - help get their young athletes in good position. Head would help offset their guard depth w/ loss of roy (trade still works if you take out head and jack, but i think head's better so it helps balance the trade some) Why Houston does it..... Brandon Roy is the guy we were all drooling over before the draft. DMiles is a headcase and major risk, but at least he's athletic and could be very good defensively if he wasn't such a nut. Jack would help offset the loss of rafer, not sold on him though. New team... sura?/ jack? / vspan? / lucas? - pg = major ?mark roy/snyder/sura? tmac/miles/novak battier/miles/hayes yao/dike Roy could also play the point like he did in the summer league *wince* don't flame me too much if u dont like it
or maybe we could smash them over the head with a wheel wrench either method will be equally as successful
LETS SEE....TELL PORTLAND, NO WE DONT WANT MILES, SO WE CAN MOVE UP AND GET ROY <<<<<WHO WE REALLY WANTED. NOW WEEKS LATER...TRADE FOR MILES COME ON NOW, THINK BEFORE YOU TYPE...IF THEY DIDNT WANT MILES THEN WHY NOW/
