Ah Sorry Guys! I didn't think about this trade until now. Its brilliant. The key to a Rockets championship!!! How can Phoenix resist this????
You would give up RYBO for a walking injury, a short Canadian, a pogo stick, a Frenchman, a pirate, and change!? Quit trying to submarine my team, troll.
No way, I aint giving up Flyin' Ryan for a bunch of conference finals losers. If somehow theres a three-way trade that'll give us Lebron, Wade, Shaq, Nash, Howard, and Marion, then I might think about it.
That would be fair since they rely on inconsistent jump shooting to win a championship. Just like the MAVS shoot from the outside until the legs start to give in a 7 game series then next start planning your runner up parade.
How about jumping into the Al Harrington mess and try to get Jeff Foster. Not an offensive upgrade, but would help defensively and on the glass. Could back up Battier at the 4 and Yao at the 5. Indiana gets the TE and Al Harrington (sign and trade) Atlanta gets whatever the package was Indiana has been offering and Juwon Howard. (doesn't he always shine on young losing teams?) Houston gets Jeff Foster
so what's the deal lately? rockets have been quiet for weeks since the whole mike james sweepstakes, are we trying to improve our team or just sit idly this entire offseason?
JHo and Mutumbo and for Mcdysse, Carlos Delfino, and Jason Maxiel Detroit recieves a healthy workhorse to somewhat add a little strength to their line up and a backup to Mohammed with expierence against Shaq. McDysse pf class act loves Yao and will serve a role and his contract is a year shorter than Jho Delfino-SG we could use another, barely more than mediocre shooter Jason Maxiel if he pans out he was a young HS draftee whose contract is not long either ONLY DILEMMA I believe Mcdysse has a trade kicker...he's a professional and will inherit a starting job again Works in Real GM, does it work with you guys? Just a suggestion.
I am not ignorant to hope that the Rockets could improve their Roster! About 90% [estimate] of this Forum would like to see changes in our present Power Forward Position. For the sake of the team, I hope I am wrong about the 'CD/jvg Battier Power Forward Plan' By the way don't be so down on your fellow posters, because they don't think exactly like you, especially when you just might be speaking to someone old enough to be your Grand Parent. By the way I really love the Rockets and have followed them for almost 24years, even though I am so far away. My hope and aspirations is for more Championships to come to the City of Houston.
check out this article from the FIBA website: 09/08/2006 USA - Wade, James and Coach K salute young Chen GHANGZHOU (FIBA World Championship) - The way Team USA stars Dwyane Wade and LeBron James beamed about Chen Jianghua, you’d think China had won Monday's friendly between the two sides or at least lost a close game. Indeed, after the Americans’ 119-73 victory, the 17-year-old point guard walked off the court with many admirers. "The point guard is pretty good," said Wade. "He ran the team pretty good and did a good job getting to the basket and a good job of finishing. "He's a tough player and like I said, they're a tough team." James was enamoured. "The guy can fly," said James. "I was impressed with his speed and dribbling." Chen played just 16 minutes but had six points, three assists and two steals. USA coach Mike Krzyzewski was so impressed, he cracked that Chen could be in his his college team, the Duke Blue Devils. "What are his grades like?" Krzyzewski asked, when asked what he thought of teen. "I wouldn’t mind having him at Duke." By PA Sport Exclusively for FIBA Is it too early to start scouting and targeting a 17 year old Chinese point guard?
Is this our current line-up? If so, what are our chances next year? I have real doubts about our starting backcourt and front line depth. Opinions? Yao / Mutombo Battier / Howard / Hayes McGrady / Bowen / Novak Snyder / Head / Sura / Azubuike Alston / Spanoulis / Lucas
JHo, Deke,Sura, Bowen for Murphy and Dunleavy. Theres your shooters and foundation for years to come. Murph can shoot and rebound. Dunleavy can shoot and can run point I think at times and will thrive with Battier chemistry. Would you give it a try? you have to give up to get in this league, long contracts are our only hope in getting a team to work on stability for our superstars.
Never mind that trade. It was actually Alston instead of Deke and I didn't realize the role Dunleavy is playings nowdays. However JHo and Bowen for Murphy would not be bad.
What do y'all think about Glenn Robinson. Is he still serviceable? He was a 20ppg scorer just two seasons ago. He's rusting on the Spurs bench right now. Maybe we can get him for the cheap.
