they would go far if they keep brand to team up w/ tmac. brand is a beast on both ends. he would have OWNED boozer straight up.

R0ckets03, I'm hurt. I thought we was cool like that. :(

Shhh! Don't let them know that. the object is to land brand not get the clippers a ring.

you never. much worse assrapes have happened.

clippers are in perennial rebuilding mode. mcgrady gives them a top star and howard comes off the books soon enough to get him a running mate while he's still in his prime.

I didnt say it wasnt a bad trade. I just dont like that crap......the crap I speak of is a stupid one or two word replay.

I dont think any of us are very good at coming up with trades. But you could give a decent commentary as to why you feel that way.

Instead of a lame......"you are offically an idiot" So stupid.

I guess it makes people feel smart to do that? :D

I can't believe this thread still has legs. We don't need different stars. We need MORE stars. The one thing you can say about every contender going into the playoffs...they were DEEP.

Personally, I would trade Battier and Sura for Artest and the King's lottery pick. I think there is upside and risk for both teams.

    T-Mac

    for

    Ben Wallace
    Thabo Sefolosha
    Chris Duhon

    Why Rockets do it:
This would turn us into a TERRIFYING defensive team. Wallace, Battier, and Duhon are all top-notch defenders, and Yao can really take up space in the middle. Certainly hurts our scoring, but if we then retained Bonzi, I think we may be okay. Our defense would generate offense.

    Why Bulls do it:
Ben Gordan is nice and all, but with McGrady they finally get a true go-to guy on offense. Sefolosha isn't a real loss because McGrady plays the same position. The loss of Duhon simply means Hinrich and Gordan get more minutes. Losing Wallace does hurt, but the Bulls have a high draft pick. They take Hibbert or Noah, and they're set with Tyrus Thomas and their draft pick up front for the next 10 years. (and if they win the lottery and get Oden, Wallace is REALLY expendable).

Why yes, I did go off the deep end... right when I saw McGrady WALKING the ball up with 5 seconds left in the half of a playoff game.

Have you ever seen a more pathetic effort out of a star player in a playoff game than that play? EVER?

The 25/7/6 he put up for the series allows me to overlook a simple lapse of judgement like that.

That lapse of judgement didn't cost us a game the way, perhaps, not fouling with 9 seconds left did.

How about the recurring "simple lapse of judgement" where he decided taking contested 3-pointers was a better idea than driving to the hole?

Absolutely won't happen. There's no situation in which the Rox would be willing to pay Bonzi enough to make him want to stay, regardless of who's coaching the team.

There's nothing to see here, folks. Move along.

Watch any superstar play. They take shots like that all the time. Those same acrobatic, low percentage and difficult shots that dazzle and impress you are taken for a reason. He takes shots like that because he knows he can make them. And please give the man some credit for keeping those kind of shots to the minimum in playoffs. He was driving, attacking and creating all throughout the series.

And again, put whatever spin on this argument that you want -- it still isn't his fault we lost that series and there's absolutely no need for any irrational trade ideas, like the one you suggested.

We lost because we didn't have enough weapons and were too predictable and helpless (outside of the big two) on offense. Trading away one of the most dynamic scorers in the league for freakin Ben Wallace and two spot up shooters would not be an improvement by any stretch of the imagination.

Tracy McGrady for Josh Howard and Jason Terry

Thank you. Why would you want to trade T-Mac? You have to realize, now a days the NBA isn't a big mans game. You have to have a perimeter playmaker/scorer. This also goes for those that want to pair up brand with Yao...when the game is on the line, who's your playmaker? RAFER?!?!?!?!
