i could definitely see the clipps going for that.

i think that would bring too many scorers to our team. we would go from one extreem (not enough scorers) to the other.

how would the minutes and shots be devided?

    yao-deke
    scola-hayes
    shane-bonzi
    tmac-cat
    steve-james

specifically the 1, 2, and 3 spots would be in major danger of chemistry meltdown.

Only if we can find a way to get Cato and Mo Taylor back, too. I mean, since we'll be sacrificing wins for the sake of nostalgia, let's really go for it!

    Or not.

I'd trade Alston for Cat and then tell Francis to take a hike.

Sure, I'd trade Rafer for Cuttino. I'd also trade him for KG, Kobe or Duncan if you twisted my arm. Where do I sign?

Skip is very good at running a offense, but has no offense.

So yes, I'd would definitly do this trade... anything for more offense.

I'd take Mobley over any ex-Rocket still playing. But why trade Alston when we could trade JL3? This is silly.

Well we could just trade them both.

    Houston Trade Breakdown
    Outgoing

    John Lucas
    5-11 PG from Oklahoma State
    3.3 ppg, 0.8 rpg, 0.7 apg in 8.2 minutes

    Bob Sura
    6-5 from Florida State
No games yet played in 2006/07

    Rafer Alston
    6-2 PG from Frenso State
    13.3 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 5.4 apg in 37.0 minutes
    Incoming

    Cuttino Mobley
    6-4 SG from Rhode Island
    13.8 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.5 apg in 36.4 minutes
Change in team outlook: -2.8 ppg, -0.8 rpg, and -3.6 apg.

    L.A. Clippers Trade Breakdown
    Outgoing

    Cuttino Mobley
    6-4 SG from Rhode Island
    13.8 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.5 apg in 36.4 minutes
    Incoming

    John Lucas
    5-11 PG from Oklahoma State
    3.3 ppg, 0.8 rpg, 0.7 apg in 8.2 minutes

    Bob Sura
    6-5 from Florida State
No games yet played in 2006/07

    Rafer Alston
    6-2 PG from Frenso State
    13.3 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 5.4 apg in 37.0 minutes
Change in team outlook: +2.8 ppg, +0.8 rpg, and +3.6 apg.

    Successful Scenario
Due to Houston and L.A. Clippers being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Houston and L.A. Clippers had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Clips would do it to save a lot of money. We would do it if it means also getting Francis back.

    Francis+Mobley >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Alston+Lucas

I have to be honest, though, I think Mobley's contract is horrible, and to take it on would probably not make any sense.

Cuttino had a solid season playing with the Kings and Adelman, though he was still a shot chucker there. He successfully did what Bonzi didnt - Kings success to big free agent contract.

Wouldnt do the trade for Francis cuz I dont think he's that highly sought after except a couple teams...but for team improvement, yeah

**** no...why woudl you bring those two back together? i'm not completely opposed to francis coming back but those two were an absolute cancer to the rockets.....drove hakeem out of town...their ball hoggin', m-first mentality killed our team for years....rafer for mobley....one ball hog to another (mobley has better %) but no thanks!!! might as well bring pippen back.

Mobley wasn't so bad. He was a SG; his job is to shoot. The few times that he actually handled PG duties, I thought did pretty well.

I would do Rafer for Mobley in a heartbeat. We're still in need of a scoring 2 guard.

    Exactly what I was thinking.

Why would the Clippers do that? Oh, I know, they are the Clippers.
