The knicks suck though, i would never compare kobe-nash-garnett to marbury-curry-crawford. Its more like Arod-posada-jeter.

    How about:

    Rafer Alston
    Bob Sura
    #26 pick
    Future first round pick

    to Atlanta for

    Speedy Claxton
    #11 pick

Atlanta gets a guy who can be a better PG in the East and can contribute imemdiately, freeing them from the necessity of drafting Conley, and gets rid of a horrendous, horrendous contract in Speedy. They still have a high draft pick this year, a lower draft pick, and get a future pick.

Houston has too many PG's anyways, takes on a bad contract, but moves up 15 spots in the draft to take whoever is available...

rafer with bobby, can be traded to a team that needs salary cap relief (rafer's contract is not that bad) or/and needs a point guard, badly. thats why denver, makes sense. (camby) if it doesn't work, i'm pretty sure we can find another team, thats desperate. remember, we don't need an all-star for our pf, we just need an average-to above-average

    you're right....

you'd hope in one of the "deepest" drafts in recent years, you could get something like that at the #11 pick, but Atlanta won't do that deal anyway.

I don't know if Les would want Camby, but I'd be happy with him, if healthy...

If one day Lebron and Oden could be in the same team, that would be the most scary thing in the league. The duo would win it all.

Rockets trying to wheel and deal

    Thursday, Jun 21, 2007 6:13 pm EDT

The Houston Rockets have several possible moves in the works. Apparently, they are trying to snag one of the Dallas Mavericks' three second-round draft picks in exchange for Vassilis Spanoulis.

The Los Angeles Clippers also appear to be discussing trading forward James Singleton (6-8, 215 pounds) to the Rockets in a deal that would involve point guard John Lucas III.

And the Los Angeles Lakers are contemplating a deal to acquire Rockets' guard guard Luther Head in exchange for power forward Brian Cook (6-9, 250 pounds).

Well maybe. There are some teams who need a PG so we just have to search.

That's...if...those draft picks go exactly as you said they would, which is a .00001% chance, unless you can see the future.

This isn't a trade, but I wanted to know what y'all think our chances are of signing Mo Williams to The MLE. If that could happen, we could then trade Rafer for a decent power forward.

    Hey Guys -

My son asked me about this trade, so I thought I'd run it by you all so he can get your feedback.... here goes:

What would you think about trading T-mac and the 26th pick for Paul Pierce and the Celts 5th pick. We get a good 3 in Pierce and then we could draft Conley with the #5 pick (if the Hawks don't take him at 3). Then we trade Rafer and probably Luther too for a decent PF, which would leave our team looking something like...

    James/Conley/V-mac/JLII
Bonzi (if he re-signs)/Snyder/Head (Luther if he doesnt get trade)
    Pierce/Battier/Bonzi
    (PF from the Rafer/Luther trade)/Hayes
    Yao/Deke

Is this a reasonable trade for both teams...

Trade Rafer Alston for Zaza Pachulia?

Mo Williams is a good PG who might command a bit more than the MLE but even if he signed with the Rockets there wouldn't be enough minutes for him and Mike James at the same time. It's also unlikely that trading Rafer will be able to get the Rockets a decent power forward IMO.

    Houston Line Up:
    C: Yao/Deke/Tsak
    PF: Wilcox/Hayes
    SF: Battier/Bonzi/Novak
    SG: Allen/Head/Snyder
    PG: James/Watson/Vspan/Lucas

    Seattle Line Up:
    C: Swift/Petro/Sene
PF: Collison/Draft pick, MLE or Rashard Lewis Trade
    SF: Durrant/Gelabale
    SG: TMAC/Wilkins
    PG: Ridnour/Alston

Houston does it because it completes their lineup. They get a better shooter and true SG in Allen. We also get a better shooter at PG in Watson. We are also free to use our MLE or make some minor trades to complete the roster.

Seattle does it because they get a better all around player in TMAC, who can sell tickets, and teach Durrant the game. In Alston they are getting a better distributor than Watson and at a cheaper price. They get rid of two large contracts in Wilcox and Watson. They also receive another first round pick and cap relief with Sura. They can then use the MLE, draft pick, and trading Rashard Lewis to improve their roster.
