How is he holding him back...how is being the 3 or 2 change on offense. Why can't Tmac play the 3? Most of the time Battier guards the two's. He guards Bryant and Wade. Battier takes pressure off of Tmac...It's a basketball team...ppl don't need to "fit" the mold...

    2. Bring Francis back home

    Yao
    AK47
    Battier
    McGrady
    Francis

    I can dreamcast, can't I?

Your Dream consists of four finese players and a short point guard who is yet to prove that he isn't still a selfish one. Bad Dream in my books!

You want a cheaper version of Kirilenko? Sign Travis Outlaw from Portland to part of the MLE.

His game is very similar to Kirilenko's only Outlaw is only 22-years-old and still improving. Very smart and see's the court well like AK. He has a ton of upside and is a defensive highlight waiting to happen. He can jump out of the gym (literally -- he is rumored to be able to touch the top of the backboard) and has a nice jumpshot and overall game. He averaged 19 PPG for the month of April and looks like he's ready to have a breakout year. Definitely, DEFINITELY a player to keep an eye on especially since he's much better than anybody we're going to get in the draft.

I like Outlaw a lot too. I was pretty impressed about his jumpshot and his quickness. I actually watched couple Blazers games just to see him play.

Word is that Chris Duhon is on the market. I would love to pick this kid up, very solid player who I think can become a very good player with some PT. Smart player who can shoot the 3.

Juwan + Filler for Duhon? The Bulls still need a PF, and while Juwan is a shell of his former self, he it still a vet that can give some solid minutes.

Duhon would have been a good JVG backup point since his style of play is all about ball protection, making smart plays and shooting. The problem though is his shooting is overrated (career 39% FG, 36% 3-PT). He's a little slow for my taste, is rather predictable since he can't create his own shot and is FA at the end of the next season.

I have a problem with giving up anything substantial for a player that could very well walk at season's end. And the bigger question is: why is Chicago so eager to get rid of him? A solid player that doesn't make mistakes, doesn't get hurt, is cheap and has a positive influence in the locker room.....why the need to move him unless my fears of him being such a limited player are correct?

He must be a Jazz fan trying to help out his team. You can't really blame him for that.

Juwan makes too much money to make the deal work.

However, Sura's expiring contract & the #26 pick might get it done.

Gordon & Deng's new contracts will kick in after next year, at the same time Duhon's contract will be up for renewal. He's bound to get a MLE type of contract from someone &, if they resign P.J. & Nocioni this year, they might have an eye on the future as far as their future salary cap goes. Picking up a #1 pick for a backup player that was taken in the 2nd round & is due a nice raise, wouldn't be a bad return on their investment.

From the Rocket's point of view, Duhon would be a good investment based upon his production &, he'd give us an upgrade at PG.

    More realistic scenario:

Trade Head, Sura's contract, JL3 for Hedo Turkoglu, who has spent time at the SG/SF/PF last season and held his own rebounding as a 4. Hedo also knows Adelman very well. Orlando has 16 mil in cap room, but needs 8 mil or so to re-sign Darko, 3 extra million in cap room would allow them to compete for a Rashard Lewis or Vince Carter type while keeping Darko.

    then

    Trade Juwan for Mike James.

    Then

Sign Joe Smith or Corliss Williamson.

    and call it an offseason.

Why trade battier? he is the only one with heart on this team besides Hayes they throw it down everynight. Aren't you sick of McGrady act 24' jumpers? no defense. The last post game interview he had was embarrasing as a Rockets fan? Yao shoots jump shots? hes is 7'6" what gives? take to the hole big man at least you will get to the line. If Adelman is your coach than why not sign Webber he should come cheap to have a chance at winning. He knows the system and can play alongside Juwan again. He could be backup C and PF. This team lacks an inside game there is know one to take it to the hole down low, Yao is turn around jumpshots and fade aways. Hayes forget it no offense. Mutombo no hands.....Juwan jump shot. Inside game? no banger at all. I would suggest Camby and Steve Blake in some kind of trade scenario with the Rockets that would not cost you Battier in return.

Amazing how two guys who allegedly do not bang averaged 8.6 and 6.9 free throws attempted per game.

Meanwhile, Tim Duncan averaged 7.1 free throw attempted per game, Kevin Garnet 6.1. Lebron James 9.0.

Guess all these guys don't bang, either.

Carl how consistent was it? They have no low post player to take it to the goal Tim Duncan has Ginoboli/Parker both take it to the hole. Where are they now? Garnett has nobody on his team. Lebron is the team and has heart.....a very big heart. He's awesome.

Actually, when the Cavs played Houston earlier in the year, Lebron looked pretty much like he did against the Spurs in game 1: Battier and the Rockets team D kept him shooting (and missing) jumper after jumper. Lebron James is very very good, especiallly for his age, but there is not a magical difference between his "heart" and McGrady's. He just played in a horrible conference.

McGrady did what he could with this squad, without McGrady this team doesn't come close to winning 52 games. Just because the Rockets lost a close game 7 we shouldn't forget what he did all season. Sure, McGrady has his faults, but he is a superstar.

I agree with you on Mcgrady but you didn't see a change in his game until he started passing (2nd half of the season). Why cant they pick and roll he has the biggest pick in the league in Yao. D. Williams and Bozzer killed us in Pick & roll. Who would you want them to acquire? Realistic......the whole Lewis and Artest pickups at the same time will never happen. I like Camby/Randolph/Webber/Artest/Barnes/M.Williams/J.Smith some combination of these guys would be great maybe Camby/Steve blake.

Considering les has signed off on Cato, Maloney, Moochie etc. ...... I would not blame if he didn't and i wouldn't be surprised if he did.
