I don't think so either, but just for fun here are the arguments:

Portland would love to get rid of Randolph's contract. It is huge and long. Roy has gimpy knees. Yao is a marketing Tsunami. He would absolutely blow up from a marketing perspective on the west coast. Battier and Head are very good role players. Portland would be able to compete immediately.

    From the Rockets perspective:

    Jarret Jack PG
    Brandon Roy Swing
    T-Mac Swing
    Oden Center
    Randolph PF

Go from no athleticism to lots in a single bound. Adelman would love this team.

Be carefull with characters like R. Davis and Mike James. Players like Shane may not have the statistics but will make your team better.

Purely from a player perspective, I might do that, but I'd want to see Ricky's contract. James is 32 and has 4 years. If Ricky has more than 2, I wouldn't consider it.

Yeah, but I'm not advocating trading Battier though :)

This chain of trades/draft are all probable, but still not likely to happen but eh what the hell. All checked through the trade machine.

    Juwan Howard for Mike James

Reasoning: Minny, for some reason, actually wants to get JHo. Good on them, let's go rob them blind.

Mike James+Luther Head for Udonis Haslem+Wayne Simien (random big body filler)+Miami's 20th pick.

Reasoning: Miami wants Mike James and I could certainly see a need for a Luther Head in Miami (well...that is if Kapono leaves, which seems likely.) Why we need Udonis should be clear to anyone.

    Draft
    #20-Acie Law/Javaris Crittenton/Gabe Pruitt
    #26-Morris Almond/Marco Belinelli/Arron Afflalo

seems like a good idea even if luther does move, but why doesn't minny just trade mike james for haslem and add fillers if they need to... haslem is greater than juawn, by alot.

    Season In Review: Mike Dunleavy

2006-07 REVIEW: Moving immediately into the starting lineup upon his acquisition from the Warriors and remaining there without interruption, Dunleavy averaged 14.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 43 games with the Pacers. Maligned in Golden State because he did not fulfill the lofty expectations of a player drafted No. 3 overall, as he was out of Duke in 2002, he was freed of that mantle with the Pacers and his performance improved. His scoring average after joining the Pacers was higher than any of his previous four seasons. A no-nonsense player long on fundamentals and unusually skilled for his size, Dunleavy is still young enough (26) that his game has some room for growth.

STRENGTHS: An extremely fluid player with excellent ball skills, Dunleavy is at his best on the move, either slashing into the lane, pulling up for quick mid-range shots or trailing to the 3-point line in transition. His mid-range jump shot is among the best in the NBA; he made 51.1 percent of his 2-point attempts with the Pacers. Among the best rebounders at shooting guard in the league, Dunleavy also comes up with his share of steals. Though often criticized for defense, he actually is a solid team defender who positions himself well and takes an inordinate number of charges. There also is a quiet toughness to his game, as he has missed just 11 games in five seasons despite a willingness to give up his body for the team.

WEAKNESSES: Something mysterious has happened to his 3-point shot. Dunleavy hit 37.2 percent from the arc in his first two seasons but dropped dramatically to 29.8 percent the last two, including 28.3 percent with the Pacers. A return to form as a long-range threat would push Dunleavy to another level, offensively. Defensively, he struggles in isolation situations because of a relative lack of lateral quickness and a high center of gravity. For a player with so much skill, he seems to suffer occasionally from a lack of confidence, which can lead to passive stretches.

OUTLOOK: A versatile player with unusual skills, Dunleavy should be more productive than he has been to this point in his career. Away from the no-win situation he faced as a lottery pick in Golden State, he is free to rise to whatever level he can with the Pacers.

CONTRACT STATUS: He's signed from the 2010-11 season.

He is who he is... a decent role player, but didn't exactly help the Pacers win much after the trade, and he makes way too much money for either Les or Morey to be interested.

If Les is ever going to break the bank for a player, it's unlikely going to be Mike Dunleavy.

Granger is nice, but he isn't really a PF...he averaged 4.6 rpg in 35 minutes, you really do have to get better than that from a 4.

individually dunleavy is overpaid but that overall package of players makes up for it. dunleavy, granger, and foster are all capable as starters on this current rockets roster.

the rockets wouldn't be breaking the bank they'd be essentially exchanging 3 players for the same overall value.

foster is a glasseater i see him getting plenty of time at the 4.

miami wants artest, but sacremento doesn't like anything from miami, so we'll be the 3rd team

Houston sends battier and luther to Sacremento, Sacremento sends artest to miami, and Miami sends haslem and wayne simien. that'll move tmac to sf, and we have a big hole in sg, and the same problem in pg. but... we have the mle, lle, and the draft pick.
