Would you really do that trade if you were Chicago?

    you lost me right here.

i don't think we will see major pieces added this summer.

i'm pretty sure that RA plans on resigning most of our guys (hayes, deke, bonzi). then looking to package sura with maybe rafer or juwon in order to bring in an upgrade at that possition.

our MLE will probably go unused. we will probably stay away from relatively expensive deals via S&T too.

The problem with this is there is a 90-day period of time in which a player can not be traded after signing a contract.

Thus, in your proposal, the teams would have to wait to do that trade until the middle of the season.

    Ain't gonna happen....

You're basically asking Chicago to absorb 5 million of our salaries for a future 1st rounder....

If Chicago had no cap-space and were desperate for a PF than maybe. But if PJ does bolt, combined with Nocioni leaving, they would be 11mill under the cap. There really is no incentive for them to do this

LOL at the trading Juwan Howard for anything useful part. I can't believe Minny basically wanted to do Juwan for Mike James last year. Another screw up by management (probably spurred by JVG's desire to not destroy our "chemistry" aka keep really old guys).

Not so LOL at the notion of picking up Nocioni for around 6M per year. This can be accomplished using the MLE for about 5.5M with 8% raises for 4-5 years. I think he could be had for this based on the number of teams with cap space being very low. However, I would rather get Mo Williams for the same deal if possible. We have Hayes (who fits very well next to Yao for very cheap) and Howard (who we pay way too much money for 3rd string PF and 3rd string C once we resign Deke).

I doubt Nocioni would come of the bench for us, but if he did he would be playing starters minutes and finishing the game anyway.

I would be a sign and trade, right? Therefore, the 90 day rule wouldn't apply.

It is a long shot for Bibby. I would think we can get Steve Blake, M. Williams, and Chucky Atkins. MLE should be OK for one of them.

I see Blake Right at the MLE, Williams way over and Chucky way under. If we have to use the MLE for a PG, I would love to get Blake. I think he would be a great fit in the Adelman offense. However, I think Denver really wants to keep him. Williams is probably not a possibility. I don't think he's going to be anywhere close to the MLE. Chucky should be a last resort. I think he would be good for depth, but he is not much better as a starter than Rafer.

Denver wants to get Artest, if they get it, I think they do not need Blake. I also think Blake should want to be here if we offer him a start job. As Williams, how much does he get? I have little idea.

    Best 3 Team Trade!!!

    Portland Trade Breakdown
    Outgoing

LaMarcus Aldridge 6-11 C from Texas

Jarrett Jack 6-3 PG from Georgia Tech

    Incoming

Luther Head 6-3 PG from Illinois

Tyronn Lue 6-0 PG from Nebraska

    2007 Draft #03 Pick

    Houston Trade Breakdown
    Outgoing

Rafer Alston 6-2 PG from Frenso State

Luther Head 6-3 PG from Illinois

    2007 Draft #26 Pick

    Incoming

Jarrett Jack 6-3 PG from Georgia Tech

Shelden Williams 6-9 PF from Duke

    Atlanta Trade Breakdown
    Outgoing

Tyronn Lue 6-0 PG from Nebraska

Shelden Williams 6-9 PF from Duke

    2007 Draft #03 Pick

    Incoming

LaMarcus Aldridge 6-11 C from Texas

Rafer Alston 6-2 PG from Frenso State

    Successful Scenario

Houston finally gets the new point guard they want running the offense, and a decent rebounding PF. Portland gets to draft Conley with the 3rd pick to pair with Oden. Atlanta gets a great young PF in Aldridge and a new point guard in Alston that could run the fast offense of the young Hawks. It seems like a win-win-win for all three teams and gets all of them better immediately. Whatcha think?????Discuss!

So Portland get three new PGs in this one off-season? Didn't they also draft that young guy from Spain last year?

Who ended up with the #26 pick from Houston? Atlanta I guess...

IF this be the case, then we will see a more interesting game played under Coach A but we will have just about the same result. This team must be revamped not tweeked if we are to be truly contenders.

Luther is more of a small SG than a PG.

I think Artest should be 1a with randolph. I think the rox need a tougher type of player. I think howard is our toughest player. Yao never gives a hard foul and neither does tracy. The only thing about this whole trade concept is people seem to see tracy as a detriment rather than a assett. I mean lets be real. If Yao was dominating his matchup, the rox would be in the finals playing Utah. Boozer basically cancelled Yao out which shouldn't happen. to top that off, Yao had almost 5 to's per game and grabbed 12 rebounds the last 2 games. I want both Yao and tracy to stay at least for the next 3yrs, but the rox should upgrade other spots. My whole goal would be to win it in the next 3 yrs, after that, tracy probably moves on, but the lebron class will be free agents then. I wouldn't take a contract past 3yrs. Thats why i like getting artest and SAR for shane and whoever. If i do get a contract longer than the next 3yrs, it should be a mle type deal.

No please no. I don't wanna see Luther as a point guard anymore. He is awful, he can't running the ofense. The can't even pass the ball. He should improve but he is a small sg-right. He should get the ball in the wide open position and make 3s or drive to the basket. He's pretty good shooter
