    Sebastian Telfair for V-Span
Money works, both teams are frustrated with their pg situations, why not.

How about Shane and Sura for Artest? He has every bit of Shane's defensive skills and a much better offensive game. Sac wants to get rid of him for attitude reasons and in return the would get the ultimate pro who the city will embrace in Shane.
Better yet Artest can play PF which we all thought Shane could and that would give playing time for Bonzi. The two have played well together under Aldeman in the playoffs. I love Shane but I would this in a heartbeat. It works as well :

    Houston Trade Breakdown
    Outgoing

    Shane Battier
    6-8 SF from Duke
    10.1 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 2.1 apg in 36.5 minutes

    Bob Sura
    6-5 from Florida State
No games yet played in 2006/07
    Incoming

    Ron Artest
    6-7 SF from St. John's
    18.8 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 3.4 apg in 37.7 minutes
Change in team outlook: +8.7 ppg, +2.4 rpg, and +1.3 apg.

    Sacramento Trade Breakdown
    Outgoing

    Ron Artest
    6-7 SF from St. John's
    18.8 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 3.4 apg in 37.7 minutes
    Incoming

    Shane Battier
    6-8 SF from Duke
    10.1 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 2.1 apg in 36.5 minutes

    Bob Sura
    6-5 from Florida State
No games yet played in 2006/07
Change in team outlook: -8.7 ppg, -2.4 rpg, and -1.3 apg.

Sorry if this has been posted already.

Thats a good trade as well. I would still try to make a deal with Phoenix before Sacto. You really don't know how far Artest will go before he screws you over. With Diaw and banks you fill in 2 needs, a PF and a PG (Back up or not). I believe Snyder, under Adelman, will develop really well. He is an athletic SG/SF who plays good defense. Also he can create for himself. So defensively he can replace Shane; and who are we kidding...with Adelman, defense is not going to be our strong suit! That will leave us with the MLE, LLE, and Luther to make more moves if needed.

This offseason, i just hope we can move Howard.

from sports radio 610 just now

They said on a sports center update that Mike Bibby has reported that he is more than willing to join the Rockets. He said if the Kings can't work out a sign and trade deal with the Rockets then he is willing to sign and take the MLE for a short amount of time, if its worth winning a championship and reuniting with his old coach, and good friend Tracy McGrady.

This was all reported on 610 about 10 mins ago while I was driving and coming back from lunch.

cmon MIKE BIBBY, COME TO H-TOWN

its on a sportscenter update on radio so idk. hopefully it's true. and adelman did say he wanted a kings player.

and bibby desperately needs to restore his career. he could take the MLE for one yr if a sign and trade can't be done.

oh man, PLEASE BIBBY, i beg u. rafer can now revert back to his role as a bench player

    This needs to be verified.

So Bibby would opt out of his HUGE contract to take the MLE here? He may want to join Yao and Tmac and Adelman, but that's A LOT of coin to turn away. That never happens. I don't buy it.

He may be trying to force Sac's hand on a trade but I don't think Pietre is going to take on crap contracts just to "get something" for Bibby. I think Pietre would call his bluff.

I believe Bibby has 2 years 28 million left on his contractl, but he can opt out this year.....but all we could give him would be the MLE....so he'd basically be losing about 18 mil.......hmm......

I agree with Deuce. This is a bluff. Only way is if SAC-town is hard-up for Battier (which I doubt).

I haven't read a confirmation on this anywhere so it still remains a bit suspect...

but if it is a sign and trade we would still retain our MLE because it would be Sacramento that resigns Bibby, not us.

It's a pretty big faux pas on clutchfans to post inside info from the realgm boards.
