Just Draft Glen Davis, sign PJ Brown, and sign a decent back-up point guard and we are set.

The only trade I would make would be for a guy like Salim Stoudamire or Delonte West.

Unless you can move Juwan Howard for a guy like Marquis Daniels.

Send Rafer anywhere for anybody. Rafer cannot be on the 07-08 Rockets, that is just too much for the fans to suffer. We deserve better.

Only benefit I see to draft him is that Yao finally has a guy on the team that is slower than him. It will help to boost Yao's confidence. ;)

Would anyone consider getting Grant Hill, busted everything and all... he's a free agent (has he gotten out of the 1st round before?), still managed to average 14+ pts. He's got Duke basketball smarts, and I think could still offer some help off the bench in a limited 10 mins per game.. a TMac/Hill reunion might not seem like a good personnel move , but if Hill becomes available for cheap, then might be worth a punt. We need to strengthen the bench!!

**disclaimer: Obsessed with getting Odom on the team. Read my sig to see where my head is really at.

What is Indiana's current situation? Are they looking to rebuild? If so we have many contracts which expire in two or less seasons which could be moved for Jermaine O'Neal.

My ideal PF for this team is Lamar Odom, and if Indiana is really looking to blow up the roster, including getting rid of the dunmuprhy sisters and O'Neal, we could work ourselves into a trade for Odom that would go something like this:

    Rockets Receive: Odom, Dunleavy
    Lakers Receive: O'Neal, Murphy, Sura
Pacers Receive: Bynum, Howard, Alston, Snyder and Maurice Evans. Four out of six of these contracts expire in 2 years, plus they'd have Bynum and Granger to build around, in addition to any cap space they will clear.

We get an expensive but solid back-up for Battier and T-Mac in Dunleavy, not to mention the only PF who really makes sense for this team; Odom. We'd still have the MLE to land a PG which would have to be priority #1.

Lakers gain an all-star in O'Neal and take a hit in receiving Murphy's contract.

The Lakers and Rockets upgrade themselves while Indiana unloads their terrible long term contracts for terrible short term contracts...and a possible all-star big man in Andrew Bynum.

Davis isn't slow at all. He's quite explosive probably something he developed from playing football.

I give it another shot ...

    New York Knicks
    Incoming Players

Kirk Snyder Salary: $1,537,440 Years Remaining: 2
    PTS: 4.9 REB: 2.1 AST: 1.0 PER: 12.16

Juwan Howard Salary: $6,392,100 Years Remaining: 3
    PTS: 9.7 REB: 5.9 AST: 1.6 PER: 12.79

Luther Head Salary: $1,048,800 Years Remaining: 2
    PTS: 10.9 REB: 3.2 AST: 2.4 PER: 13.73

    Houston Rockets
    Incoming Players

Channing Frye Salary: $2,325,000 Years Remaining: 2
    PTS: 9.5 REB: 5.5 AST: 0.9 PER: 10.50

Quentin Richardson Salary: $7,525,500 Years Remaining: 4
    PTS: 13.0 REB: 7.2 AST: 2.2 PER: 14.30

New York trades a young potential PF (Frye) to Houston for a verteran PF (Howard). Richardson underwent a back surgery on 30/03 (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2819093) and hasn 't contribute a lot last season (only 55 games), so the Knicks could have two young players instead. Snyder gives them the defensive, athletic boost and Head gives NY the 3pt shot ability from Richardson back in a younger version. We could send a future draft pick if NY isn 't willing to trade Richardson right away, but as far as I know NY is Marbury 's (Curry 's and Crawford 's) team ... so why not? Maby it 's a risk, trading two young healthy players for Richardson ... but 'hey' we have T-Mac 's 'wonder doctor'!

After this trade I would sign Gerald Wallace (unrestricted, player option) with the MLE (hopefully), draft Almond and sign Cato (unrestricted) with a veteran min. salary (the guy is 32) ... the only thing that stays the same are the PG 's (damn!)

    Houston Rockets:

    PG: Alston/V-Span/JL III
    SG: Richardson/Wallace(?)/Almond
    SF: T-Mac/Battier/Novak
    PF: Hayes/Frye/Battier
    C: Yao/Cato(?)/Deke(?)

    sh!tty program? is sh!tty means a top 5 program over the last 20 years...then i guess it is sh!tty.

Frye is immature? dude is one of the classiest and most mature guys i've met and seen play.

eugene edgerson - class act and constantly volunteered with children

    iggy - quiet and respectful.

salim - was a hot head, but overall he was a decent guy.

luke - dumb as dirt, i'll give you, but he was a pretty good guy as well.

arenas was very immature, or childish...i'll give you that. WHen he got to UA he was only 17 and he certainly acted like it. i think he's come a long way, but the dude definitely marches to his own beat.

every program has some stinkers but to blanket it over all UA program is silly. Especially when you are talking about one of the classiest and most respected coaches in college.

Not a trade but I was think what about Grant Hill?

He is a consummate team player and ultimate professional and I feel sorry for how his career has gone especially the last few. He is one of the few intelligent and well spoken players left in this thug era of basketball. I would love to see him play a diminished role like 3rd or 4th option and he can still score if given open shots. I just wish there were more players like him in the NBA.

Isn't Q. Richardson the one that has back spasms worse than T-Macs?

Here's my 2007 Off-Season Plan. It may be unrelistic, but that's the fun part! :D

-Fire Head Coach Jeff Van Gundy
Why: His inability to adjust and no offensive creativity eventually were key factors in why we lost to the Jazz.

    -Hire coach Rick Adelman
Why: His offensive creativity and ability to get easy baskets would do wonders for this team. Keep in mind our defense wouldn't fall to much since the Kings were a prety damn good defensive team back in the days even leading the league in opponents FG%

-Trade G Luther Head, G Bob Sura, and Shane Battier for G Jason Richardson. A pick can be thrown in.

Why for us? Because we get a third scoring option that can shoot the ball. He can come right in and contribute near 18 points per game every night and in my honest opinion, that's be more valuable than what Battier does for this team

-If Steve Francis is cut, sign him to the veternas minimum
Why for us? He'd give us depth at a much needed position a guy that can create his own shot and won't rely soley on the drive and kick game of McGrady or double teaming on Yao.

-Sign Chris Webber to half of the LLE
Why for us? Even though the guy is old, he's still an above average rebounder and scorer. He also is one of the best passing bigs to have ever played the game. With hopefully Adelman on board, where Webber had his career seasons, he should once again have a nice breakout season. He'd likley be the starter and if we can somehow convince him to come here for that money (biggest question) then he'd be the steal of the year

-Use the MLE on Mo Williams.
Hope that Milwaukee decides to go elsewhere than re-signing Mo Williams, then I think he'd have to settle for the MLE. Solid shooter, with a great all around game. Most importantly, can create his own shot.

-If we do not give up the pick in an earlier trade, use it on Thaddeus Young if available or another athletic SF.

I know it's somehat unrealistic, but also not out of the question lol.

Mo Williams/ Rafer Alston/ Vassilis Spanoulis
    Jason Richardson/ Steve Francis
    Tracy McGrady/Kirk Snyder
Chris Webber/ Chuck Hayes/ Juwan Howard
    Yao Ming/ Dikembe Mutumbo

If we can trade Juwan and another filler for another swingman, then that'd be great too.

No offense, but if there were more players like Hill they wouldn't ever be able to suit up any teams.

I love Hill as a person, but the guy is just too fragile to take a chance on if you're realistically looking to compete.

that might be the case if he is your franchise player, but as a complimentary piece playing limited minutes off the bench he would be a luxury any team in the league would like to have.
