Yao has to have some perfect games for Rockets to win when Rafer was playing like a TMAC.

    Rafer still sucks.

Gimme a break. He is playing great? He is supposed to hit those open shots. That doesn't count as great, come on.

And as a PG who handles the ball all the time... he's supposed to have a 11 assist/0 turnover game while holding All-star Billups to 3-12 FG %.

    Give me a break...

Give props to where it is due, Rafer played GREAT.

    +1.

I'll never be on Mr. consistently inconsistent's bandwagon. Rafer is the weakest link.

Sure, hes been good the past few games, but every season he's had stretches of good games. Doesn't change the fact that OVERALL he's a pretty mediocore shooter and average playmaker at best (and thats only because he's been running the point on this team for so long).

All it takes is one or two acceptable or well-played games to revive the Rafer-Madness.

It's like coaches, fans, teammates, management...Hope Springs Eternal...start to think that our eyeballs have been lying to us for years now, and that we do indeed have a quality point guard. Truly amazing. And no end in sight to the madness.

The Rafer Alston experiment has failed people. His body of work over the last 3 + seasons speaks volumes. Don't be fooled by a good game here and there.

The Rafer bandwagon doesn't roll. When you shoot 36% for the season, the fact remains, you can't shoot. He gets on these little hot streaks ever once and a while, and at least we can be thankful for these "precious" and "rare" moments, like when the tear drops fall.

It seems I post this picture every year.

He's a streaky player. Whether T-Mac is in or out of the lineup, he's a streaky player. When Mac or Yao goes down, he DOES get more aggressive. He drives more. And I think we've all complained about that.

    Rafer with a teardrop... CLANG!
    Rafer with a layup... MISSED!

Kudos to Rafe. Any metrics folks ready to tell me what the Rox record is when GoodRafer plays? The record when bad Rafer shows up?

He's not. He's competent. His contract is up in time for the amazing free agent rush of LBJ et al. Trade him. Today. Get back a talent worthy of playing in June. (Kerr wants D for Suns: Shane/Rafe - Nash. That's kool-aid I'm drinkin'!)

LOL - I am fine....just calling it like I see it....Rafer is playing better without Tmac dominating the ball and turning him into a bad SG.

I still want a significant upgrade, like Hinrich or Miller.....

I guess it was more about the surprise of him playing better without Tracy...than anything.

Very nice two games from Rafer, but who is the same Rafer I saw before by making the stupid jumps at the very important time, fortunately, Yao showed up big at 4 th, and the team got two wins.

When I say that" by making the stupid jumps rather than "by taking the stupid jumps", I mean that he actually put the ball in fortunately, but one thing is sure for Rafer, he is willing to do anything on the floor if others do not want to do it.

I'll just stand on the outside of this wagon and watch it explode. Then I'll watch the "start Aaron" bandwagon will fill up again.

AB is not a Plan A, but a Plan B - sub; energy guy; change of pace guy; etc. This team with a quality Point will play in June. May Brooks give him 10 quality mpg of rest.

AB was amazing as a starter and has struggled since he moved back to the bench.

I really cannot think of a starting pg who is worse than Rafer in this league.

Rafer is really bad, and he is getting worse.
