This ruling should surprise no one. This was a very weak argument to begin with and implications that would’ve undermined the separation of powers.
You're such a partisan hack. How can you think this ruling is fair? Now presidents can't enjoy their gold years in retirement. Not President Trump though, greatest president ever never would retire and stop working for America, but all other presidents like Barrack Hussein, can't retire NOW and enjoy their ice cream!!!!!
Trump will continue to delay and delay and he’s successful so far with the documents case and in GA Willis’ problems will give him more ammo to delay. I don’t think we can count on the courts to save us with a conviction before election.
Im such a partisan hack I was hoping the ruling would go the other way and then Biden could just send Trump to the island of St. Helena and cancel the election.
Good to know that a sitting president can't order Seal Team Six to assassinate his chief opponent and escape prosecution once he leaves office.
As secret head of the DNC and Taylor Swift’s manager my plan has been foiled again. And I would’ve gotten away with it except for you meddling kids.
I love this argument from trumpybear's spokesperson... It's literally never happened before and this argument of immunity didn't exist then. Only reason it's happening now is because the dipshit couldn't stop breaking the law and assumed that President = King.
There is some truth there though. The dam has been breached. He's probably telling the truth that the current GOP will move to indict Biden once he's out of office and threaten it against future Dems as well. Trump's next AG is going to be an insanely partisan hack. The current Republican party has already proven they will feed their bloodthirsty electorate with escalating retaliations for Trump.
That would be the case regardless. trump's previous administration choices are proof. I say bring it on... nothing will ultimately happen but everyone will clearly see how America's founding principles (democracy and the rule of law) will be broken by one person. Congratulations republicans...
I think we are trending towards breaking. You saying "nothing will ultimately happen" expresses an optimism I do not share. A few years ago I pointed out in this forum that the biggest underlying issue is that a HUGE chunk of Americans don't actually value democracy and would absolutely endorse a dictator. The polls support that now. Trump openly says it and is embraced for it.
I agree again with much of what you say. I share your concerns about the future of America. My saying "nothing will happen" refers specifically about any Biden impeachment (even if the maga house approves articles of impeachment, it won't get enough votes in the senate, just as there weren't enough votes for trump or Bill Clinton). Nor will any trump pushed border security bill (won't get enough senate votes). But there will be irreparable harm caused to America. Agree wholeheartedly.
