For the love of all that is holy please let him magically become healthy, the guy is one of the best defensive role players I have ever seen when he is on his game! Hits the three, aggressively drives and dunks, can defend every position. I'll even take an 80% version! Just sign him anyway for the remote chance he gets healthy this year!

 

Luc's agent probably told him not to do it. He's an injury concern and for him to do a "training camp" with no contract is a big risk. If Luc is back, it will be in an official capacity

 

I don't get this. Did we "sign" these guys or are they training camp invites? What is the difference? I remember we brought a bunch of vets in a couple of years back and had to make some tough cuts. I feel like there was tweets about "signing" them to non-guaranteed deals. Why aren't there any reports out there about signing these guys?

 

More likely scenario: Luc was totally on-board, but his shoulder popped out of joint when he was packing his suitcase.

the thing is we could have said the same about rivers, green or faried. granted the level of trash could be varying in all cases but the point is Ben has a set of skill (shooting) that led him to being a high pick and the rockets have been to known to use that set of skill (along with the ability to roll to the basket in faried's case) to enhance a players value. That is why I am hopeful for even ben

 

I mean people who were paying attention knew how good he was for this team. The only reason he wasnt prodcuctive in the POs was because he was injured.
